Manufacture Resource Data Model Construction For Flexible MES

It becomes very complicated to supervise and control the production process in the workshop, because of the characters of modern flexible multi-variety and small-lot manufacturing pattern. MES is more and more valued by enterprises on account of its powerful management function in workshop executive level. Given the demand of basic data in bottom for realizing various upper functions of MES, manufacturing resources in workshop are divided into five categories which are products, materials, facilities, personnel and equipments. Then, using the object-oriented technology and database implementation techniques, basic data model of manufacturing resources is established for flexible MES, based on taking full account of integrity of the data relationship and the efficiency of data storage. The above model involves: product-series-oriented products basic data model, material and facility basic data model based on in-time materials distribution of mixed-type suppliers, personnel basic data model facing online staff management, equipment basic data model facing management and maintenance of the equipments.Finally, the example of realization of various data model in HFUTIE-MES is given. The manufacturing resources basic data model established in this paper, which provides the complete data support of manufacturing resource for the functional realization of MES based on production process in workshop, is the basis of design and realization of MES.
