Microgrid is a system that is constituted of loads and distributed generations, and it can operate autonomously or in interconnected mode, the distributed generation needs the power electronic devices to achieve power conversion, provided the necessary control. The coordination control of inverter for the majority of the booming renewable energy (such as fuel cells, solar, wind) is the key technology for the development of microgrid. In this paper, a new inverter based on a mathematical model of synchronous generator is presented, and on this basis, the coordination control method of inverter is designed, and the Matlab simulation software is used to verify the correctness of the analysis. Then a preliminary study of black start is done. Finally, the experimental platform of microgrid is designed. The main text is as follows:(1) The concept, structure, and the research status of microgrid are deeply understood. The key technologies in microgrid are analyzed; the meaning of the study on coordination control of inverter is elaborated.(2) Summarizing the principle of the common microsources, analysis the difference between the conventional synchronous generators and inverters, proposing and designing the inverter with a synchronous generator features.(3) According to the characteristics of microgrid and the existing inverter technology, choosing the centralized control methods to coordination microgrid, then designing the microsources controller and microgrid central controller functions and realization method. Finally, MATLAB simulation software is used to set up a single VSG model and a network grouped by three VSG, verifying the control method.(4) The preliminary study on the black start, combined with the characteristics of microgrid, designing a typical microgrid startup process.(5) Designing the laboratory platform of the microgrid system, including the hardware design, software flowcharts of the inverter and upper attempering platform.
