This task is base on the other's research result, during the research period, the author combined with two projects including a project developed by Northeastern University Equipment Diagnosis Center and certain military area and a project developed by Northeastern University Equipment Diagnosis Center and Liaohe Petroleum Exploration Bureau mechanical Factory. This paper further researched the intelligent method of fault diagnosis of the Cummins 6BT5.9 diesel engine. This paper mainly increased the observe interface of oil and the interface of the abrasion forecast, discussed the details of researching on the Function of System Continuation and Self-study of Diesel Fault Diagnosis System.Online oil monitoring is a new technology emerged in recent years. Now our forces generally adopt a method called fixed oil change period, which determine the oil change intervals according to the mileage, the time or the working environment. And our force occasionally adopts the off-line method for the oil analysis. Since our forces can not change oil according to the quality, the fixed oil change period method could cause the huge waste of lubricating oil, and the off-line method for the oil analysis has shortcomings of huge instrument volume, expensive instrument cost, and being improper for the on-the-spot test.So respond to a military area, this task observe the quality of army vehicle diesel engine. With the combination of theory and the practical application, the author researched and developed the online lubricating oil monitoring system for Cummins 6BT5.9 diesel engine. After synthesizing the characteristic of various appraising methods of lubricating oil qualities, the author selected the viscosity of lubricating oil, the pressure of lubricating oil and the temperature of lubricating oil as the sensitive parameter. the author designed the online monitoring system of lubricating oil, including the sub-monitoring system of the viscosity of lubricating oil, the viscosity of lubricating oil, the temperature of lubricating oil and the pressure of lubricating oil. A new way of online monitoring the lubricating oil viscosity was explored in this paper. With the temperature, the pressure of lubricating oil and the engine rotating speed, the new method could realize the online monitoring the viscosity of lubricating oil. So It overcome the huge waste than the way of fastness oil change, and the way of offline analyze. Tribology fault of diesel engine has very high proportion in the all faults. Its form is invalidation of friction is abrasion. So we should pay attention to diesel engine abrasion. It's a very effective way to avoid the abrasion faults; it's also a very important content for maintaining diesel engine.The main aim is depress rub and abrasion by using lubricating, in order to make sure long effective work. So abrasion has very important contact with the main index of oil.This task mainly considered the collectivity abrasion, and forecast abrasion, to make sure direct or indirect factor can be eliminate, make the abrasion can be prevent. By using the instantaneous speed, the temperature of lubricating oil, and the pressure of lubricating oil, abrasion quantity build the nonlinear function. By using ANN to build the relation. Offer the new way of abrasion forecast. This method is suitable to the practice, and provides all right condition for diesel engine.The design of structure of process of Diesel Engine Fault Diagnosis System is the main problem to be improved t for the project at the present. A diagnosis process with clear structure not only can increase the readability of the system, make the operator familiar with the system more quickly, but it also improve the practicality of the process. Therefore, in order to obtain the desire effect of the monitoring diagnosis technology, a standard operating process must be established. Realize universal law of development of the structure of system by improving the structure of the process. It not only makes man-machine interaction more convenient, but improves the efficiency of fault diagnosis.Furthermore, the text lucubrate the Function of System Continuation and Self-study of Diesel Fault Diagnosis System of the Cummins 6BT5.9 diesel engine. self-study function is similar to the expert system, is the function expansion of the expert system. It is mainly base on the Fuzzy theory, ANN, Expert System, Information Merge, and Pattern Recognition. Discussed diesel engine fuzzy diagnoses, fuzzy semantics sign, educed the elementary result by training, made some obvious sign could find fault. Combined semantics sign and monitoring sign actualized parallel diagnose in two dimension space.
