| Based on the successful application in practice for controlling the diagonal cracks of cast-in-place concrete plates,an effort to probe into the quantitative design method was performed by the author. The crack spacing and width of wire-mesh mortar strengthened concrete plates were taken to be the main task of this experimental research,in order to support the popularization and application of this method.Via a flexural experimental study on 11 wire-mesh mortar strengthened concrete plates and 1 control plate, the influence of the diameter, grid spacing, and layers of wire-mesh on the crack spacing and width of strengthened plates was investigated. The research showed that due to the better reinforcement dispersity(the diameter of wire-mesh is much less than that of steel bar),the calculating values of the crack spacing and width by using the design formulas of Code for design of concrete structures(GB50010-2002)were greater than the tested values obviously.Noticing this, according to the test data of this kind specimens, the modified crack spacing and width calculating formulas of wire-mesh mortar strengthened concrete plates were proposed.By contrast to the tested values, the calculated values by using modified formulas show a good agreement with the tested results. This thesis also inquired into the calculation of the moment capacity of the wire-mesh mortar strengthened concrete plates. |
