Engine lubricating system is one of the important engines systems the performance of which decides engine life-time and reliability. Therefore, further detailed analysis and further investigation is very important.Firstly, the article gives an thief introduction about the structure and function of engines lubrications systems. The main functions of ELS is transfer the clear and enough oil to the surface of friction for parts and form oil firm that can be form elastic hydrodynamic lubrication , so enhance the reliability and durability for engines.Secondly, the article make use of the fluid simulation system software flowmaster to create an one-dimensional simulation model of ELS, with the model as the target of research to simulated the different rotational speed the oil volume flow destitutions and pressures of oil about the key connecter. The result shows the key components such as oil pump supply the oil volume flow for direct ratio than rotational speed and the pressure of oil increase with speed improved, but under some speed the pressure increase slow down , because the restricted valve has taken effect and limited the increase of systems pressure, hold the proper oil pressure and flow .through the simulation of under different speed of engines , we can found the bearing tip leakages will increase with increasing speed, however at the some rotation speed the system delivers more lubricant to the main bearing, and then to balance shaft, the least to the connecting rod bearing. The more bearing tip-leakage, the better for heat radiation which lower friction work and keeps the heat balance of the bearing lubricant.Finally the investigation and test on the failure of lubrications systems, the result shows the reasons that bearing of connecting rod lose effective is the clearance small that can make the thickness of the oil firm reduction and increase the temperature between the bearing and journal. The temperature rise will slow down the viscosity of lubricant so that decrease the bearing capacity of oil firm. There will be happened the failure of lubricant and abnormal wear on the connecting rod.The author was analyzed the change of volume flow on the bearing by means of analysis model to research the connecting rod lubrication situation, we can know the characteristic of the lubrication system and oil pressures and flows taken effect on abnormal wear. The article will provide the theory and analysis foundation for the engine lubrication systems trouble shooting.
