| Since the 1980s, as the structure transformation of society, economy and culture influenced by the processing of digitization, amount of architecture that contained the morphology of spatial curve emerged. Those architecture are very creative and have strong visual impacts. It show out the sense of flow line, dynamic, fuzzy, chaos and some kinds of sense of'flexible'in behavior. As these phenomenon developed, the aesthetic ideas in modern society is changing greatly.As an important branch of multiple architecture trends, Flexible buildings meet the Architects'needs of searching new ways to express the building. The flexible building gives people Compensation in their tired minds induced by the'tough'environment which comes from the Machine aesthetic after the industry revolution. Under the guide of my teacher, this paper is going to discuss the reasons behind the formation of flexible building, make a deep research in the features of it using the methods of typology. In the end, this paper summary some ways of how to make a flexible building. Hope the article can help research of architectural theory and practice.Firstly, this article try to make the concept of flexible building ascertain and testify the meaning through a mass of examples. Secondly,classify them in terms of typology and analyze the character of softer architecture. At last, search for the design language of softer form's meaning and method in architecture creation. Search for softer architectural space which derive from the environment.In the views of the relationship between architecture and environment, the article analyze the flexible building does not stay at the profile of it, the main purpose is try to find the significance of society and environment when using this flexible theory. So, analysis the flexible features and find the ways to design is the final purpose in order to make better show on terrain environmental factors, architecture self-gravity influence and meet the demand for multi-angle.
