With the rapid development of transportation construction, highway construction extension in the mountainous internal area unceasingly, the engineering geological conditions of the mountainous area is very complicated, the most bridge pier are rigid foundation, with the bridge pier of rigid foundation stiffness is weak and complex loading, and Bridge pier cap displacement is one important parameters that test the safety operation , so the analysis of them is necessary for improve our bridge design and construction technology level .The paper using theoretical calculation and finite element analysis and field measurement methods,research on onpier cap displacement for rigid foundation high pier of highway bridge, choice a calculation model of high bridge pier foundation, that top elastic constraint and lower fixed, combining with the previous researches. Based on the combination of Rayleigh and potential energy theorem,analysis of the bridge pier foundation rigidity, obtained the formulas of displacement. In this paper, considering the load condition and the calculation height of the bridge,so the formula precision has been greatly improved. Based on the further analysis of the formula,we know the effect of bridge pier top displacement for pier height, section size, load of pier, pier top stress, bridge pier top pedestal Etc, where the finite element analysis and practical engineering is used to verify the accuracy of the model. The results show that the calculation formula present in this paper is simple in computation, high in precision and can meet the need of the engineering.Based on the analysis of formula, we have many the effective methods can control displacement. Speed control; increasing pier cross-section size; decrease high bridge pier; increasing pier top pedestal rubber size; reduce thickness;increasing number of bearing; etc. These methods can be used in design and practical engineering as the reference or reference.At last,the central working in this paper were summarized, the substantive conclusion were arranged and the working which have not been totally accomplished were prospected.
