With the rapid development of highway construction, the highway construction in China is very fast. But because of the rapid development of China's economy, the traffic is doubled. The speed of Highway construction can not meet the needs of economic development. Meanwhile, the highway bridges have been built with the use of time operating conditions of growth and decline. In order to improve the level of road services, and many bridges are facing the reconstruction, expansion, upgrading the road grade issue. Expansion of the bridge plays a controlling role in the construction. How to ensure that after the bridge structures widen the good operating performance is the renovation and expansion project in the difficult and important.There are some problems about mosaic structure and expand the original structure connecting in the process of strengthening and widening. Practice shows that the use of appropriate technology and broaden the reinforcement of measures not only can improve capacity at the same time the bridge, but also restore and not only can improve the carrying capacity of the old bridge to extend the life of the bridge. Conversely, if the measures taken to widen the stitching is unreasonable, it can not improve the performance of the old bridge,and many problems will appear after the transformation. In order to ensure reasonable and effective method for bridge and providing a reasonable extension, the depth reasrch on transformation methods of bridge is needed.Based on describing the program and expanding the bridge superstructure splicing scheme and "Jinghagaosu long expansion project level" design, this paper has researched the design of simply supported plate girder bridge widening depth. First, the theory of bridge space calculation summarized in this fight based on the width of the bridge is proposed for the lateral distribution factor calculation. Finite element analysis software ansys established full-bridge model is analyzed, we verified the validity of the proposed method. The same time, the rationality of the program widened the mechanical verification, proposed widening section form, construction process and construction considerations. Concluded at this stage is proposed for regular highway bridge widening scheme. Research work carried out as follows:(1) The width of the bridge to fight the structural characteristics of in-depth research, noted that the use of existing single coefficient of a transverse load distribution method, and can not fight for the calculation of width of the bridge. On this basis, a mixed structure of transverse distribution coefficient calculated. At the same time bridge the numerical analysis method is introduced.(2) Based on Jinghagaosu expansion projects, the wide bridge plates using different programs have being comparative analysis to fight girder bridge structure was. The characteristics of the wider program has being summarized, and a most reasonable widening scheme has being proposed finally. It can provide a theoretical basis for project design.(3) The additional internal forces what with the difference settlement between the lower opart of old and new bridges is researched. And the width of the bridge fight the construction technology is introduced. The construction of matters needing attention were discussed.
