Precision agriculture is the future development of modern agriculture. It is transformingtraditional agriculture with information technology and automation technology, which couldimprove agricultural productivity、reduce material and human input in agricultural production.With the satellite positioning, CAN bus technology, sensor detection and other high-techcombined with agriculture mechanization, the position and working conditions of fieldoperations locomotive could be remote monitored, hence not only the performance andefficiency of agricultural machinery would greatly improve, the dependent on operators wouldbe reduced at the same time. In order to achieve the data of field locomotives quickly andaccurately, agricultural information collection system was designed which combined locomotivepositioning, working condition monitoring, area measurement and environmental informationdetection. In this paper, complete the following:(1) The system including information gathering, CAN bus data transfer and the sender.Information collection terminal includes GPS module, temperature sensors, Hall sensors andfloat sensors. By microcontroller instruction, GPS module collection locomotive latitude andlongitude, float sensors collect leftover fuel, temperature sensor acquisition tank temperature, theHall sensor acquisition speed and then get work area.(2) CAN bus is divided into two parts; the end portion of the received informationcollection is CAN1, connection information the sender part is CAN2. The resulting data will becollected according to the priority CAN2.0B agreement with CAN1communication, CAN1connection is established through the transceiver with CAN2, the data processing is transmittedto the sender via CAN bus microcontroller.(3) In the data transmission side, real-time display of locomotive condition, the data storedin the array, the function of the transmitting side data to the microcontroller through the GPRSmodule, use the3G network will have a fixed transfer function to the domain name/IP server.According to the actual situation, the server does not too much discussion.(4) Software design including the design of data collection and data transmission design.Microcontroller using C language programming, STC-ISP was burning. Major design programsinclude: initialization, data collection procedures, data transmission program, HMI programs. This article has conducted the thorough research of the MCU theory and CAN bustechnology. Research results are applied to the system design. The dada becomes more accurateand reliable. The data transmission becomes more flexible and stable. The collection oflocomotive information can be displayed, stored and queried which can provide reference datafor agricultural production and management. The system can provide a reliable data basis forfield locomotives intelligent management and scheduling.
