The past few years have witnessed the consecutive progress of communication technologies.Wireless communication networks have covered various areas, which proves a leaping changefrom wire communication to wireless communication. Wired network has to develop with therestriction of cables. For example, it takes great time and energy for cabling in fields and there isno convenience for its maintenance. In order to facilitate the distance information transmissionof field work clusters, this paper, based on GPRS technology and ARM embedded technology,provides favorable technological support for long-distance data transmission among field workclusters. GPRS network, which is featured by its wide coverage and24-hour access, helps torealize wireless data transmission among field work clusters. At present, GPRS networkcommunication technology is more widely used in the industrial sector compared with theagricultural sector.This paper is designed to address such problems as adverse working environment and its widedistribution. The system takes microcontroller STM32F103RCT6with ARM Cortex-M3kernelas the core controller. Embedded technology, as the most popular operating technology, functionseffectively and efficiently. Software and hardware design of the transmission terminal is realizedwith the combination of SIM900A communication modules and GPS orientation modules inorder to collection information such as the operation of machines on field, fuel consumption,location and harvested area. In addition, it makes it possible to send machine information to thedata center, which will display machine information online through Sina Cloud Platform in PHPlanguage as well as MySQLdatabase for downloading and real-time examination, thus providinguseful information for machine allocation and management.Specifically speaking, the paper proceeds as follows:(1)In ARM module, this paper chooses STM32F103RCT6as the master control chip of thesystem. The analysis mainly from the aspects of the choosing the minimum systemmicroprocesser, power module, reset circuit, crystal oscillation circuit, Max3232communication chip and so on.(2)Transmitting the received data onto the cloud platform through HTTP protocol throughsetting the GPRS network communication module, supply circuit of SIM900A and the networkindicator light.(3)The operation range of field work is determined through GPS satellite positioning. GPSpositioning path is used to calculate the real-time operation area and floater is applied tocalculate fuel consumption, thus realizing real-time active data uploading during the operation ofmachines on field.(4)Backed up by the PHP language supported by the cloud platform and MySQL databasedisplays information about machines and workers on the web page. It also analyzes how todisplay, preserve and allocate data transmitted through the data center with the help of BaiduMap and the coordinate of temperature.(5)Testing shows that the system is accurate in data transmission, stable in operation andquite able to meet the requirements.
