In 2015, the use of oriental melon ‘Jin Fei’ as test materials, the use of sodium molybdate for seed soaking and spraying on the leaf. Concentration of sodium molybdate seed set to four levels, respectively Mo1(1mg·L-1), Mo2(5mg·L-1), Mo3(25mg·L-1), Mo4(125mg·L-1), with water as CK, spraying on the leaf set four concentrations of sodium molybdate, for T1(1g·L-1), T2(2g·L-1), T3(4g·L-1), T4(8g·L-1), and is controlled by spraying water as CK. At different times in oriental melon growth and development, through the determination of oriental melon shape index, material accumulation index and physiological index, clear different molybdenum boron nutrition level on oriental melon plant growth, physiological characteristics, yield and quality of mechanism, so as to provide theoretical basis for melon production high yield and good quality.1. In seedling period,oriental melon plant height, stem diameter, root system and above ground dry matter accumulation showed a trend of rising, melon leaf, leaf SPAD and nitrate nitrogen content in NR, CAT, POD activity is on the rise, leaf increased and SOD was first increased and decreased.In melon of nitrate nitrogen content in the root, root activity, the change characteristics of rising, root of NR, CAT, POD was first increased and decreased. Appropriate concentration of sodium molybdate seed treatments Mo3(25mg·L-1), can significantly increase the oriental melon seedling height, stem diameter, root system and above ground dry matter accumulation, significantly improved the SPAD, nitrate nitrogen content in the leaves, NR, CAT, POD, SOD activity. Improved significantly at the same time, a moderate amount of sodium molybdate melon root nitrate nitrogen content, root activity, increased the activity of nitrate reductase in root system, the activity of catalase, peroxidase activity, played a significant role in for oriental melon seedling growth and development.Seed handling with the increase of the concentration( 1mg·L-1~25mg·L-1 range) of sodium molybdate is enhanced by the effects, when the concentration reaches Mo4(125mg·L-1), oriental melon seedling height, stem diameter, root system and above ground dry matter accumulation and SPAD, nitrate nitrogen content, NR, CAT, POD, SOD activity decreased significantly, oriental melon root nitrate nitrogen content, root activity, NR, CAT, POD were also significantly reduced.2. The stretch tendril period, the oriental melon plant height, stem diameter increases gradually, in oriental melon leaf chlorophyll content, the content of nitrate nitrogen, NR, CAT, POD, SOD in the leaves are on the rise. Appropriate concentration of sodium molybdate spraying T3(4g·L-1), can significantly improve the oriental melon plant height, stem diameter, chlorophyll content, the content of nitrate nitrogen significantly enhanced leaf in NR, CAT, POD, SOD enzyme activity, etc. Sodium molybdate spraying process with the increase of the concentration(1g·L-1~4g·L-1 range) enhanced effect, when the concentration reaches T4(8g·L-1), oriental melon plant height, stem diameter, SPAD, nitrate nitrogen, NR, CAT, POD, SOD activity in the leaves were reduced.3.In blossom period,oriental melon leaf is on the rise, the activity of peroxidase in oriental melon leaf chlorophyll content, nitrate reductase activity is on the decline, the activity of catalase in melon leaves and the activity of superoxide dismutase(sod) in the first after rising downward trend. Sodium molybdate spraying can significantly improve the melon leaf chlorophyll content, NR,CAT, POD, SOD activity and decreased significantly reduce nitrate accumulation, promoting the transformation of the plants of nitrate nitrogen and utilization. When the concentration of sodium molybdate spraying for T3(4g·L-1), the effect is best, concentrations reach T4(8g·L-1), the effect of the drop.The blossom period, oriental melon fruit diameter, the longitudinal diameter and single fruit weight is on the rise. Sodium molybdate spraying can significantly increase the oriental melon fruit diameter, vertical diameter and single fruit weight, significantly promote the formation of the production. In 1g·L-1~4g·L-1 range, with the increase of the concentration, the effect of the enhanced gradually, the concentration of T3(4g·L-1) at best, when the concentration of T4(8g·L-1), melon fruit diameter, vertical diameter, single fruit weight and yield decreased.
