Boron(B)and molybdenum(Mo)are widely used in agriculture production and have distinct effect on the advance of the crop yield. Boron and molybdenum are rarely applied in the grazing production, the research we have done were mainly concentrated on the aspect of yield and quality. This research adopted complete random plot experiment design of two factors and four levels, boron and molybdenum are designed as four levels respectively. Different proportion of boron and molybdenum fertilizer was sprayed on the first, the second and the third stubble of the alfalfa on the basic of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. This experiment particularly emphasized the effects of boron, molybdenum on physiological, biochemical characteristic. At the same time, we discussed the effects of growth specialty. The results showed that:1. The boron and molybdenum fertilizer can enhance SOD activity, chlorophyll content and soluble sugar content of alfalfa. The fitting proportion of boron and molybdenum fertilizer can also decrease MDA content and permeability of alfalfa.2. The branches quantity, the plant height of alfalfa in the first stubble, hay yield and SOD activity increased as the content of boron increased in the extend of 0~2.5 kg/hm~2 while spraying boron fertilizer on alfalfa exclusively. At the same time, MDA content in the first and the second stubble, permeability in the first and the third stubble decreased as the content of boron increased.3. The branches quantity, the soluble sugar content in the third stubble, the total chlorophyll content in the first and the second stubble increased as the content of molybdenum increased in the extend of 0~0.225 kg/hm~2 while spraying molybdenum fertilizer on alfalfa exclusively. At the same time, the permeability, the MDA content in the second and the third stubble decreased as the content of boron increased.4. The boron and molybdenum fertilizer can enhance plant height and branches quantity distinctly. The employment of boron element, molybdenum element merely and boron and molybdenum element together all can influence the yield of Alfalfa. The excessive employment of boron and molybdenum element both can made the plant grow slower, reduce the divaricating and decrease the yield.5. The plant height of the treatment 7(B=1.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0.225 kg/hm),8(B=1.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0.375 kg/hm),9(B=3.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0 kg/hm~2),12(B=2.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0.375 kg/hm~2) and 16(B=3.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0.375 kg/hm~2) were all higher than CK in the first, the second and the third stubble.6. Comparing with all of the treatments, treatment 12(B=2.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0.375 kg/hm~2) had the largest hay yield in the first, the second and the third stubble. Treatment 12(B=2.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0.375 kg/hm~2)had the largest hay yield in the whole year too, attaching to 9281.27 kg/hm~2, 2049.07 kg/hm~2 exceeded CK, the extent of enhancing yield is 28.33%; treatment 9(B=2.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0 kg/ hm~2) rank as the second; treatment 10(B=2.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0.075 kg/hm~2) rank as the third; treatment 14(B=3.5 kg/hm~2,MO=0.075 kg/hm~2)rank as the last.7. The variation range of plant height and the growth speed in all the treatments of the second stubble was the largest, the variation coefficient of the plant height and the growth speed were 11.7% and 17.06% separately. The contribution rate of the alfalfa in the first, the second and the third stubble had little difference to the whole year hay yield. The contribution rate of the alfalfa in the second stubble was the highest.
