Studies On The Biolgical Activities Of Tea Saponion And The Effects Of It As Feed Additives

The research state on the application of biological activities oftea saponin was summed up and the mechanism that tea saponil1 asfeed additives was discussed theoretical1y fOr the first time. Throughthe analysis on the structure and function groups the possible effectsof tea saponin as feed additives was illustrated in detail,e.g. assubstitutes of antibiotic, feed preserves, growth promotives,insectifuge, quality improving agent and deodorizer. It has set aprimary theoretical basis for the exploitation of natural green J'cedadditives.The toxicity of tea saponin to leech, rat sperm and worm weretested, and got the positive result. Besides, the experiment -onchicken were also carried out and got several positive results asfollows:l. promote the growth of chicken,2. a good restrain effect to pathogen,fOr Escherichia coli andSalmonellae;3. a certain control effect to Eimeria tenella.
