In order to study the effects of wood properties of Loblolly 且pine(pinus teada L.) Plantation from three different site conditions,the basic density,tracheid morphology,chemical components and PH value have been measured and dealt with.The results show that: Basic density,tracheid length,tracheid width and the ratio of the tracheid length and width increase from core to bark; basic density has a small decrease from base to top,but the change is not significant;The tracheid length,tracheid width and the ratio of the tracheid length and width increase step by .step from the base up to certain height and then decrease by degrees.The contents of wood chemical components and PH value have no significant effects at different heiglt,except that the contents of extractives decrease with the height increases,but there is no significant difference by variance analysis; The difference of basic density is very significant between trees, the difference of tracheid width and the ratio of the tracheid length and width is significant among some site conditions, the difference of tracheid length is not significant; basic density,tracheid length,tracheid width and the ratio of the tracheid length and width decrease with the site index increases,and the difference of basic density is very significant, latewood tracheid width and the ratio of the tracheid length and width are significant among different site conditions, the difference of tracheid length is not significant;The contents of cold water extract,hot water extract,Benzene-alcohol extract, pentosan,ash and PH value increase as the site index increases.The content of lignin decreases as the site index increases,the others have small change between different site conditions.Except that the content of hot water extract,cold water extract and Q -cellulose has extreme difference between site conditions,PH value,the content of ash and the others of wood chemical components have no extreme difference.
