Xiaoyeling is a new antiviral agent formulated with virus inhibitor A and elicitor B(for virus resistance).Screening experiments in tomato indicated the two components improved the effect each other obviously and the best control effect of Xiaoyeling reached 78.8%~85.4% when it is formulated at 20% of A+5%B at spraying dose of l.ll~1.42ug/ml. To spray potted tomato plant with Xiaoyeling before or after inoculation, its control effect on CMV was respectively 66.7% and 43.2%, and the inhibition rate of CMV damage in chloroplast respectively reached 76.5% and 41.2% 20 days later. In the field experiments, control effect of the first spray of Xiaoyeling at its dilution 600X or 800X was respectively 72.32% and 63.05% 7 days later, and it reached 76.71% and 69.01% 14 days later. For the second spray with the same dilution, the control effect was respectively 69.71% and 65.29% 14 days later. Xiaoyeling was sprayed to tobacco plants before or after its inoculation with CMV-37 to detect the change in the defendant enzyme activity of the plant cells from 1? days later and determine the chloroplast (chlorophyll) content and control effect of Xiaoyeling 20 days later. The results showed that to spray Xiaoyeling before the inoculation, POD activity rapidly rose at first, followed by a rapid decrease in the late period. But the spray, after the inoculation caused POD activity rapidly rose a little late at the first and followed by a srnall decrease. SOD activity was both lower than CK in the enzyme activity was both significantly higher than CK but it increased more when spraying Xiaoyeling before the inoculation. As for PPO, its activity dramatically rose at the first and followed by a slow decrease in the both treatments, and 7 days later it was still higher than CK. Chlorophyll content was respectively 61,9% and 33.3% higher than CK in the two treatments 20 days later.
