Studies on the main nutritional characteritics and different effects of various applying ratios of nitrogen(N), phosphate(P) and potassium(K) on yield and quality of Brazilian upland rice IAPAR9, based on the field experiment with the orthogonal rotational combinatorial design, The results were as follows:(l)Lower dry matter accumulation during early development; less dry matterbeing transferred into spikes. NPK absorbed by Brazilian upland rice IAPAR9 plant at the Transplanting ~ Maximum tillering stage (about 10% in total N, P, K absorbed) was little. The high peaks of NPK absorbing rate were obtained (about 50% in total NPK absorbed) at Maximum tillering stage ~ Booting stage. NPK application and AN, AP, AK in soil are distinct positive correlation, and NPK absorbed by upland rice plant are distinct positive correlation. Strong superiority of NPK uptake in low and middle NPK supply levels. Obtaining the highest fertilizer-use efficiency and increasing rice yield and quality are raising the level of PK application corresponding with the raised level of N application. The effect of various applying ratios of nitrogen(N), phosphate(P) and potassium(K) on yield and quality of Brazilian upland rice is simiar.(2)The maximum tillers, effective ears, accumulation rate of dry matter and N application are highly correlated. The harvested yield and P application are distinct positively correlated. The harvested yield and N, K application are highly positively correlated. The amount of K fertilization is positively related with seed-grain weight. NPK application and tiller-bearing percent are indistinct negative correlation. The effect of NPK application to brown rice and milled rice is not significantly different, while to head rice, chalky rice, protein content is significantly different. The correlation among main yield components characters of IAPAR9 are analysed. The results showed as follow: the effective tiller number, mean grains per panicle, 1000 grains weight, seed-setting percentage appeared positive correlation to actual yield, among which, effective tii^r number and seed-setting percentage reached 1%significance level. The results suggested that the improvement of Actual yield inIAPAR9 could be achieved by in creasing effective tiller and seed-setting percentage.(3)Mathematical models of recommended fertilization of nitrogen, phosphorusand potassium for Brazilian upland rice in Reddish yellow clayey earth were set upby means of orthogonal rotational combinatorial design and computer simulationoptimixing.10 fertilization schemes bringing maximum production and profit ofIAPAR9 were chosen separately. The fertilization amount for maximum production(5012.644kg/hm2), maximum profit(2975.76yuan/hm2), high head rice(62.56%), lowchalky rice (19.19%) and high protein content( 10.24%) are 295.2 kg/hm2 of Nitrogen,147.6kg/hm2 of P2O5 application and 295.2 kg/hm2 of K2O application, andN:P2O5:K2O=1.6:1.6:1.6.
