The immature embryos of loquat were used for explants in the study of micropropagation technique system. The immature embryos and sections of stems with buds of in vitro shoots were used for the study of polyploidy induction. The results were as follows:(1) The best medium for in vitro germination of immature embryos was l/2MS+6-BA2.0mg/L+IAA0.5mg/L on which germination time was fifteen days after culture and the germination rate was 79.29%.(2) When colchicine concentration was 0.3% and treatment duration was 30h,the polyploid inducation rate was 13.33%, while a combination of 0.5% and lOh resulted in a 26.67% polyploid induction rate for the immature embryos. When colchicine concentration was 500mg/L and treatment duration was 15d, the polyploid induction rate was 13.33% for the stem sections of in vitro shoots.(3) The best multiplication rate, 3.38, was obtained on MS + 6-BA 0.5mg/L + KT 0.5mg/L + NAA 0.08mg/L. Using 30 days as subculture time, theoretically, the annual multiplication coefficient was 6.7 104.(4) The best rooting culture medium was 1/2MS+IBA0.5mg/L+NAA0.5mg/L +AClg/L which could make rooting fast with a rooting rate of 100% and 8.18cm in root length.
