The experiment was conducted to study the effect of cold stress and high energy diets on the Jin-ding ducks in cage. In the experiment, 144 (40 weeks of cage) Jin-ding ducks of commercial strain were assigned to four groups randomly, in 2X2 factors. They were fed in cold temperature(4+1C)or warm temperature(19?Irrespectively. Each group was fed with the metabolizable energy content of 2.75, 2.85, 2. 75, 2. 85Mcal/kg diets containted 18.49% CP respectively. The results showed that in cold stress, feed intake and feed conversion ratio very significantly increased (P<0.05), while egg production, laying rate and average daily gain significantly declined (P<0. 05). Fed on high energy diets, feed intake and feed conversion ration declined (P <0. 05), while egg production and laying rate inclined 6. 1%, 6.4% respectively. In cold stress fed on high energy diets, feed intake and feed conversion ration declined (P <0. 05), while egg production and laying rate inclined 14.6%, 13.6% respectively. In the experiment, the levels of serum T; increased(P<0.05), while the levels of serum T4 decreased in cold stress. Fed on high energy diets, the levels of serum T3 tended to decrease , while the levels of serum T4 tended to increase . In cold temperature and warm temperature , fed on high energy diets , the levels of serum T3 tended to decrease , while the levels of serum T4 tended to increase .In cold stress , serum free fatty acid and uric acid very significantly increased (P<0. 01) , while serum glucose declined (P<0. 05) . Fed on high energy diets , serum free fatty acid and serum glucose significantly increased (P <0. 05) , while serum uric acid tended to decrease. In cold temperature and warm temperature , serum free fatty acid and serum glucose tended to increase, while serum uric acid tended to decrease .In the experiment, ME, N, Ca, P efficiency declined 6. 8%(/><0. 01), 14.2%(/p<0. 05), 21.2%, 15.5%(P<0.05) respectively in cold stress. Fed on high energy diets, ME, N, Ca, P efficiency respect ively increased 4.9%( P<0.05) 16.4%(P <0.05) 8.1%, 17.6%. In cold stress fed on high energy diets, ME, N, Ca, P efficiency increased 6.8%(P<0.05),25. 6% (P<0.05) , 46. 8%,24.7%(P<0.05), wliile in warm temperature ME, N, P efficiency respectively increased 2. 9%x 9.1%,12.0% , but Ca efficiency declined 14.7%.Master candidate: Mi Yuling Major: Animal Nutrition and Feed Science Supervisor: Prof. Wang An...
