The experiment was conducted to study the feasible dEB level for cage-rearing Jin-ding ducks of 0~4 weeks. In this experiment, the 192 Jin-ding new-laid ducks were assigned to eight groups randomly with six replicates of 4 ducks per replicate. Each group was fed with diets of -154,-54,46,146,246,346,446 and 546meq/kg dEB respectively. The experiment data were analyzed by single-factor analyse in SAS6.12 to discuss the results of rearing experiment, metabolic trial, blood acid-alkali indexes and biochemical indexes. The results of rearing experiment showed that dEB had certain influence on the production performance of cage-rearing Jin-ding ducks of 0~4 weeks, dietary of dEB 246 meq/kg can reduce feed intake/weight gain, but the effect was not predominantly(P>0.05).Blood acid-alkali indexes data showed that blood PH and Na+K-Cl content was increasing while dEB added from -154meq/kg to 246meq/kg,the interrelation between Na+K-Cl content and dietary dEB was: Y=41.127138+0.011735X-0.00001494X2(P=0.0615,R2=0.1866). HCO3- content increased rapidly when dEB was added from 46 meq/kg to 546meq/kg, the interrelation formulation between HCO3- content and dietary dEB was: Y=21.744165+0.003537X+0.000010977X2(P=0.0476,R2=0.2020).All these reflected that the acid-alkali balance and capability to prevent from metabolic acidosis in ducks' bodies had been improved with dEB from 46meq/kg to 246meq/kg(P>0.05).Serum biochemical indexes data showed that dEB can reduce BUN content in ducks' serum significantly while dEB increasing from 46meq/kg to 246meq/kg, the interrelation formulation between BUN content and dEB was: Y=3.827757-0.011247X+0.000010833X2(P=0.049,R2=0.2534), this improved the condition of amino acid balance and promoted the composition of other substances containing nitrogen except BUN or reduced the decomposition of substances contained nitrogen, these all increased nitrogen sediment and accelerated the protein synthesize. Dietary of 46meq/kg~246meq/kg dEB can depress TG content in serum significantly, the interrelation between TG content and the dietary dEB was: Y=1.779746-0.007752X+0.000021792X2(P=0.0128,R2=0.3395),this accounted for enhancement of the synthesis of fat. When the dietary dEB was added from 46meq/kg to 546meq/kg,GLU content was increasing rapidly(P≈0.01), the interrelation between GLU content and dEB was: Y=7.536481+0.014472X-0.000015247X2(P=0.0194,R2=0.2534), this indicated that the synthesis of protein and heptin in ducks' bodies had been advanced in this experiment. Metabolic trial data showed that the utilities of Ca,P,Mg in ducks fed with 246meq/kg dEB were higher than other groups predominantly(P<0.05=,and enhanced the use of ducks' bodies to Ca,P,Mg.
