This paper studied environmental adaptability of introduced non-astringent persimmon varieties in mid-subtropical region by combining field biology and ecology investigation and indoor analysis. The results showed that: (1) The introduced varieties put up good environmental adaptability. The qualities of non-astringent persimmon were very high: good shape, big, vivid color, nice flavor, long shelf life. Such as Jiro persimmon, average fruit weight was 218.6g, and the biggest was 267g. Its TSS was 16.2%, Vc was 115.59ug/g, coarse fibre content was low, texture was fine and brickie, syrup was plenty. Its nutrition value was very high. Precipitation of August to October had great effect on fruit weight. (2) The phenophase of introduced varieties advanced in Jianyang. For example, the fruit maturation of CV. Nishimarawase was the first ten days of September in Jianyang, which was ahead of Hangzhou and Japan. So non-astringent persimmon could be gotten more benefits in Jianyang. (3) Non-astringent persimmon fructification was early in mid-subtropical region. In the second year could be gotten yields in a general way. And yields were very high. For example, yield per plant of four-year-old Nishimarawase was 30.33kg, and Jiro was 13.38kg. (4) Spring is drought and autumn is wet in this area. Cercospora of introduced varieties was serious, especially tengyuanyusuo persimmon. Drought-resistance from high to low was Luotiantianshi > Chinese persimmon > Zenjimar > Jiro >Nishimarawase > Tengyuanyusuo > Gailey > Jiazhouyuanshi according to leaves conductivity and proline content. Injurious effects on root of persimmons were not serious. Water-resistant from high to low was Jiro > Nishimarawase >Zenjimar > Luotiantianshi > Jiazhouyuanshi > Tengyuanyusuo > Gailey > Chinese persimmon. (6) The fruit color of introduced varieties in mid-subtropical region was vivid which was differ from the conclusion of many scholars. So the effect on fruit color of temperature was stronger than illumination in non-astringent persimmon. (7)The fruit weight of persimmon in Jianyang was bigger than other places. The paper analyzed the correlation of the fruit weight of Jiro35and climatic factors and got the precipitation of August to October had great effect on fruit weight. (8) The factors effecting fruit quality were blank stain on fruit skin, insects' bite and bird' chaw, etc. The blank striped seemed to relate mainly to the fruit enlargement itself. They were presumed to be the disorders caused exposure of the epidermal and sub-epidermal cells to air as a result of the expansion of fine splits on the skin with fruit growth. The developed splits finally become black due to the oxidation of polyphenol substances in these cells.(9) Jiro, Nishimarawase and Gailey put up good environmental adaptability and fruit quality. So they could be extended in mid-subtropical region. Zenjimar would be interplanted as pollinizer. Nishimarawase was unsuitable as pollinizer tree because of lack of staminate flowers and pollen.
