Tepraloxydim is a new kind of broadleaves herbicide exploited by NIPPON SODA CO., LTD in 1997, it is a kind of herbicide which cut leaves after yang plant and is used to prevent Gramineae weeds. It is the best in the same kind and has features just like high effect, low poison,easily decomposed and little pollution.In this project the characters and technique of Tepraloxydim was studied on by laboratory and field experiments. It provides academic foundations for the appliance and extending ofTepraloxydim .The results are brought forward as following:1. Tepraloxydim can kill Gramineae weeds effectively, and it can be applied to all theweeds' generational period especially in 3-5 leaf periods in Gramineae weeds. 25-30ml dosage per acre can attain a high effect2. Tepraloxydim by normal dosage(37.5-45g pre hectare) is generally safe to broadleaves and has no poison to soybean. When the dosage is up to ten times greater than normal(500g pre hectare), leaves of Toyosuzu, tachisuzunari, nasushirome, bonminori, newtype No.2 which are kinds from Japan turned brown, and kinds from U.SA were not changed. When the dosage is up to 800g pre hectare, all leaves turned brown. Thus it can be seen that there are differences between different soybeans' sensitivities to Tepraloxydim.3. Tepraloxydim can be seriously affected by climate, low temperature(4 -10 ) can depress its effect, then in the range of 15 -24 and 20 -30 , the death ratio of Echinochloa crusgalli (L.)Beauv is more than 97.5%. Therefore the most suitable temperature is in the range of 15 -30 .4. Rainfall experiments in lab, using the herbicide, after one hour or three hours, there is no influence to it's effect the effects of the disposal and the control both achieve grade 9. It isobvious that, among the environment factors which work on the effect of Tepraloxydim, times of moisture is not a key factor.5. Under normal dosage (45g per acre) , compared to the 12.5%NABU(187.5g per acre), the phytocidal activities of Tepraloxydim is about 3 or 4 times higher than it, phytocidal range and protecting effect are both better than it, too. Compared to the Gllant-s(10.8%), the speed and the effect are both outstanding, So there is a wide foreground for the appliance and extending of Tepraloxydim.6. When Tepraloxydim(37.5g per acre) is mixed with BENDASONG(1152g per acre), the phytocidal range is amplified, and it is more effective to broadleaves than usingTepraloxydimonly. And the production is increasing greatly; the increasing ratio is about 50.0%.
