| This Research studied the effects of organic Se and inorganic Se fed to DurocxYorkshirexLandrace and YorkshirexLandrace growing-finishing pigs on performance,carcass trait and meat quality. It:discussed the regular change of serum glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity,free triiodothyronine (FTs),free thyronine (FT4) activity and the the effect on tissue selenium .A total of 192 DurocxYorkshireLandrace(DYL) and YorkshirexLandrace(YL) male pigs (approximately 15kg BW) were used in four treatment groups,each treatment with four replicates,each replicate with 12 pigs . the whole feeding trial was divided into three period (weaned piglets,growing pigs,finishing pigs). The unique difference between treatment group and control group is 0.3mg/kg organic Se and 0.3mg/ke inorganic Se . At 35kg and 60kg of average BW,four pigs in each groups were selected to get serum and analysis the blood parameters.At the end of feeding trial Four pigs (about 100kg BW)in each groups were slaughtered to determine carcass composition and Loin traits. At the same time,various tissues and blood samples were collected.The results of feeding trial showed organic Se trended to improve the growth performance. In weaned period,organic Se increased ADG by 2.5%(DYL treatment,p>0.05),1.7%(YL treatment,p>0.05),decreased F/G by 0.8%(DYL treatment,p>0.05),1.2%(YL treatment,p>0.05)compared to control. In growing period,organic Se increased ADG by 2.0%(DYL treatment,p>0.05),2.9%(YL treatment,p>0.05),decreased F/G by 0.7%(DYL treatment,p>0.05),2.5%(YL treatment,p>0.05)compared to control. In finishing period,organic Seincreased ADG by 4.3%(DYL treatment,p>0.05),1.2%(YL treatment,p>0.05),decreased F/G by 1.3%(DYL treatment,p>0.05),1.2%(YL treatment,p>0.05)compared to control.The results of slaught trial showed organic Se trend to improve the carcass composition,organic Se increased DRPDL.LDA by 1.9%,1.5%,4.1% (DYL treatment,p>0.05),1.6%,2.4%,10.7%(YL treatment,p>0.05),decreased BF by 16.7%(DYL treatment,p>0.05),1.2%(YL treatment,p>0.05)compared to control.The results of meat quality analysis showed that there is no significant difference in PH(DYL ' treatment,p>0.05),organic Se improve the meat quality significantly,organic Se increased CRM,EE by 15.3%,6.2%(DYL treatment,p>0.01),6.7%(p>0.05),1.3% (YL treatment,p>0.05),decreased TWL by 52.9%(DYL treatment,p>0.01),19.4%(YL treatment,p>0.05).The result of serum enzyme analysis showed organic Se improved the GSH-Px activity significantly . In weaned piglets period,organic Se improved the GSH-Px activity by 12.0%( DYL treatment,p<0.01),11.45%(YL treatment,p<0.01). In growing period,organic Se improved the GSH-Px activity by 11.9%( DYL treatment,p<0.01),10.6%(YL treatment,p<0.01). In finishing period,organic Se improved the GSH-Px activity by 11.7%( DYL treatment,p<0.05),11.2%(YL treatment,p<0.05).The result of serum hormone analysis showed organic Se improved the FT3 activity and decreased FT4 activity . In weaned period,organic Se improved the FT3 activity by 7.4%( DYL treatment,p>0.05),4.2%(YL treatment,p>0.05),decreased FT4 activity by 1.6%( DYL treatment,p>0.05),1.6%(YL treatment,p>0.05) . In growing period,organic Se improved the FT3 activity by 10.0%( DYL treatment,p<0.05),11.6%(YL treatment,p<0.05),decreased FT4 activity by 8.9%( DYL treatment,p<0.05),8.6%(YL treatment,p<0.05) .In finishing period,organic Se improved the FT3 activity by 8.1%( DYL treatment,p>0.05),11.9%(YL treatment,p<0.05),decreased FT4 activity by 6.2%( DYL treatment,p<0.05),7.2%(YL treatment,p<0.05).The change regular of GSH-Px FT3 FT4 activities increased with increased by age. GSH-Px FT3 activity changed smoothly,while the change of FT4 activity was quickly during the weaned-growing period and slowly during the growing-finishing period.The tissue selenium analysis showed organic Se increased serum Se liver Se and Loin Se significantly .Organic Se increased serum Se liver Se and Loin Se by 8.4%( p<0.05 32.8%( p<0.01) and 182.6%( p<0.01) respectively for DYL group as well as 6.5%( p<0.05)... |
