Three mature male Merino sheep fitted with rumen fistula, duodenum cannula and ileum cannula were used in this experiment. This study included two sections. One was the degradation rate of different protein feeds in rumen. The other was the comparison of digestion and absorption of all kinds nutrients by sheep when sheep was fed with different protein sources diets. 1 Degradation rate of different protein sources in rumen Four Samples of protein feed were assayed for degradation rate in rumen by nylon bag method. The four samples were cottonseed meal, sunflower meal, rape seed meal, soybean meal. The result show us that the protein degradation of cottonseed meal, sunflower meal, rape seed meal and soybean meal individually were 71.85±5.70%,91.54±3.14%,74.22±2.25%,87.63±8.66% respectively. The result indicated that the sunflower meal was the easiest to degrade in rumen.2 Comparison of the effect of different protein sources diets on digestion and absorption in sheep. Lignin was used as marker to calculate the fluid volume of duodenum and ileum. According to the research when the sheep respectively were fed with four protein diets composed of cottonseed meal ,sunflower meal ,rape seed meal or soybean meal, Intake of cotton seed meal group was the highest, and rape seed meal group was the lowest. The protein Disappearance of cottonseed meal group ,sunflower meal group, rape seed meal group and soybean meal group in forestomachs respectivly were 15.34±10.96, 19.18±5.02, 13.71±7.88 and 33.16±10.52%. The cellulose digestion rates of cottonseed meal group , sunflower meal group rape seed meal group and soybean meal group in forestomachs were 82.33±1.96, 77.62±2.82, 79.56±2.58 and 85.42±1.85%,while digestion rates of semi-cellulose in forestomachs of cottonseed meal group ,sunflower meal group, rape seed meal group and soybean meal group were 69.83±3.86, 69.33±3.10, 76.86±9.47 and 80.97±0.75%.The result implied that different protein sources influence the quantity of protein flow to the small intestine。 The soybean meal group quantity of protein flow to the small intestine 66.84±10.52% was lowest in four groups, while cottonseed meal group, sunflower meal group, rape seed meal group were 84.66±5.34,80.82±5.02, 86.29±7.88% respectively. RUP of cottonseed meal group, sunflower meal group, rape seed meal group and soybean meal group account for 38.43±2.61, 27.80±3.22, 34.80±1.25 and 20.16±2.98% in the total protein in small intestine respectively,MCP of cottonseed meal group, sunflower group, rape seed group and soybean meal group of the total protein in small intestine were 42.36±7.86, 48.78±6.57, 47.25±8.04 and 41.69±7.04% respectively. In cottonseed meal group, sunflower meal group, rape seed meal group and soybean meal group, the amino acid flowing at duodenum were 59.74±5.26,52.71±1.23,65.46±14.45 and 51.73 ±6.71 % of intake protein, Lys in small intestine were 3.98±0.66, 3.74±0.23, 4.44±0.77 and 3.50±0.34% of intake protein,Met were 1.30±0.19, 1.20±0.11, 1.32±0.12 and 1.12±0.15% of intake protein.OM in small intestine of cottonseed meal group, sunflower meal group, rape seed meal group and soybean meal group were 43.71±4.15, 43.82±4.31, 43.02±2.94 and 37.42 ±2.66% of OM intake respectively. The cottonseed meal group, sunflower meal group, rape seed meal group and soybean meal group apparent digestibility(%)in small intestine were 66.20±11.53, 66.17±6.91, 66.34±8.53 and 48.37±10.33% of CP. In cottonseed meal group, sunflower meal group, rape seed meal group and soybean meal group ,the amino acid absorption of which flowing at duodenum were 82.02±1.56,81.25±2.73,80.04±5.39 and 78.01±1.51% of intake protein, while Lys were 86.59±1.32, 86.26±1.64, 83.62±3.20 and 86.69±1.55%,Met were 67.99±7.18, 63.85±6.40, 67.61±5.35 and 48.32±11.14%.The OM apparent absorptivity in intestine were 67.70±3.52, 66.62±4.88, 63.59±5.41 and 53.90±5.68%. The study indicated that the lost protein of soybean meal diet was more...
