The reproductive data of 292 Jinhua sows and 112 mated Jinhua boar,and performance data of 1386 Jinhua replacement pigs from experimental farm for swine breeding stock Jinhua in 1979 to 1999 were used in the study .Estimates of genetic parameter were obtained by single-traitc model procedures using restricted maximum likelihood (REML). The result showed that the hcntabilitiy of total number of born (TNB),number born alive (NBA),average pig birth eight (PBW),litter birth weight (LBW),number at first creep (NFC),litter weight at first creep ( LWFC),average pig weight at firat creep (PWFC),number at weaning (NW ),litter weaning weight (LWW),average pig weaning weight (PWW) and teat numberC TN ) were 0.12 + 0.09,0.18 +0.10,0.15 + 0.09,0.02+0.09,0.10+().ll,0.08 + 0.13,().18+O.IO,0.23+0.11,0.31+0.13,0.35 + 0.11 and 0.19 + 0.10,respectively,which were similar to the reported results of internal documents and higher than the reported results of foreign document in recent year.The heritability of the reproductive traits,except TNB,LBW,NFC,PWFC,were significance or highly significance (P<0.05 or P<0.01) . The genetic correction between the TNB,NBA with LBW,NW,LWW were ranged from 0.60 to 0.88,and TNB,NBA with PBW were -0.43,-0.63 (P<0.01) . There was a middle-high degree genetic correlation (0.51) between PBW and PWW (P<0.01) .The results indicated that the more the TNB.thc more the NBA and NW,the heavier the LBW and LWW,the lighter the PBW and PWW..The heritability estimates of pig weight at 4 month (PW4mon.),pig weight at 6 month (PW6mon.),body length (BL),body height (BH),chest circumference (CC),ham circumference (HC),backfats thickness (BF),average daily gain at 2 month to 6 month (ADG) were 0.57 + 0.12,0.47 + 0.12,0.48 + 0.14,0.43 + 0.14,0.49 + 0.12,0.26 + 0.11,0.40 + 0.14,0.29 + 0.13,respectively,which were significance or highly significance (P<0.05 orP<0.01 ) and similar to the reported result of internal and foreign documents. The genetic correlation between growth traits were ranged from 0.15-091 and reached to remarkable level ( P<0.01) except PBW with PWGmon,CC,PW4mon with BH. The phenotypic correlation between growth traits were highly significance( P<0.01).Additionaly,The reproductive data of 2355 sows and piglet growth data of 2355 piglets of native pig breeds Jinhua swine,foreign pig breeds (Large Duroc,Hampshire Yorkshire,Landrace) and their crossbred breeds,body size traits of 1386 Jinhua swine at 6 month were also analysis.The fixed effects of each trait was considrated synthetically .Finally,all fixed effects model of each trait and variance analysis were made and the least square mean (LSM) of each trait were calculated .The LSM under different levels of the fixed effects which played key role in the studied traits were analyzed and compared.The results of variance analysis of the fixed effects were as follows:1. Breed,parity,season,year had highly significant (p<0.01) effects on NBA and NW. Parity,season,year had highly significant ( p<0.01) effects on TNB.The TNB and NBA were higher for breeds KXK,LKXD,KXL than other breeds. The NW were higher for breeds KXL,KXY. The TNB and NBA of Jinhua sows increased with parity and reached to highest at 6th tO 7th parity .The TNB of Jinhua sows in summer was 15.72 + 1.66,which remarkably higher than that of spring,autumn,winter (p<0.01) .There were no difference for NBA in spring,summer,autumn,but which higher than that of winter (p<0.05) .2. Year,season,breed,litter size,parity had highly significant (p<0.01 ) or significant (p<0.05) effects on PBW. Year and litter size had significant (p<0.05) effects onPWFC. Breed,year,parity had significant (p<0.05 ) or highly significant (p<0.01) effects on PWW. There were no significant (p>0.05 ) for PWFC in different years. That showed that the Jinhua sows was so good maternity that piglets had developed equably. The PBW in summer and autumn were higher than that in winter (p<0 05),and the PWW in spring and summer were higher than that in autumn and wmtcr.Thc PBW for breeds KX Y,KX L,KXLK were g...
