Study On The Effect Of Chuan-Xue-Gui Injection On The Healing Of Fracture In Rabbits And Dogs

The purpose of the study was to explore a new way to accelerate the healing of animal fracture with herb injection and observe the effect of Chuan-Xue-Gui injection on the healing of fracture in rabbits and dogs. The study consisted of three parts:Test1:The preparation and safety experiments of Chuan-Xue-Gui injection The prescription of Chuan-Xue-Gui injection was designed based on proved recipes and Chinese medicine theories. The method of water extraction and alcohol precipitation was used to make Chuan-Xue-Gui injection .The safety experiments were performed in rabbits and guinea pigs,including the test of clearness,heat source and bacteria and the local stimulative test,allergy test and hemolysis test. The results showed that Chuan-Xue-Gui injection accorded with all the quality criterions of injection regulated by " The pharmacopeia of the People's Republic of China" . So it could be used in clinical tests.Test2: The effect of Chuan-Xue-Gui injection on the repairing of radius defect in mature rabbits 16 healthy mature rabbits were used to build standard defect moulds on radius of left forelimbs. After having made the moulds,Chuan-Xue-Gui injection was injected around the fracture of the rabbits in experimental group. Then biochemical indexes of the blood were measured in assigned time,including blood serum calcium,serumphosphorum and serum ALP. And the dynamic histological changes and X-ray films of the fracture bones were also observed. The results showed that Chuan-Xue-Gui injection raised the content of blood serum calcium,serum phosphorum and the activity of serum ALP and made them to arrive peaks ahead of schedule. The experimental group were better than the control group in organization of hematoma,bony collus formation,calcium salts deposition and bone trabecula restructive moulding. So Chuan-Xue-Gui injection had the action of accelerating the repair of radius defects in mature rabbits.Test3: The effect of Chuan-Xue-Gui injection on the healing of femor fracture in dogs after internal fixation 6 healthy mature dogs were used to build internal fixation moulds on femors of right rear-limbs. During the operation the DCP were used and BO's principles were followed. From the next day, Chuan-Xue-Gui injection was injected around the fracture of the dogs in experimental group once two days. Then the clinical signs and the local changes of bone fracture were mainly investigated every day. Stimultaneously the biochemical indexes of blood were measured in assigned time,including blood serum calcium,serum phosphorum and serum ALP. And the X-ray films were also observed. The results provided that Chuan-Xue-Gui injection raised the level of blood serum calcium,serum phosphorum and serum ALP and made them to arrive peaks ahead of schedule.The experimental dogs were superior to the control dogs in clinical manifestation and local bony recovery. So after internal fixation of femor fracture in dogs,the use of Chuan-Xue-Gui injection could shorten the healing time in clinic...
