The commercial pig of Duroc x (Landrace x Jiaxing pigs) is the Crossbred of Duroc Boar with the Sow of Landrace cross with Jiaxing, which is widely used as three way crossbreds in Jiaxing area, these commercial pigs has the characteristics of growing fast, feeding less, high carcass quality and high lean meat percentage, but with various coat color.With the data collection from the livestock farm and field data, We have analyzed the cause of coat color segregation, the coat color types and the possible genotypes of coat colors of the commercial pigs. The results are as follows:(1) The coat color segregation of the commercial pigs is mainly due to the different allelic combination of loci A, I and E. It can also be explained by the latest research progress in the area of molecular genetics, and six possible genotypes were established, that is IiEpe, IiED1 e, IpiEpe, IpiED1e, iiEp e, iiED1e, and from which, the coat color of the commercial pigs could belargely explained.(2) From the count of ,582 litters (78 from the livestock farm and 504 from the field data), we found that there are usually six types of coat color in the commercial pigs: white, brown, white and black, brown and white, black and brown, and black. The X2 testing showed that the coat color percentage of commercial pigs is related to the coat color of their sows, the results was as following: (1) the white sows had of white pigs: 44.86 %±1.78% ; brown pigs: 18.42% ±1.36%; brown and white pigs: 2.64% ±0.67%; black and brown pigs: 8.44% ±1.14% and black pigs: 18.56% ±1.18%.(2) the black patch sows had of white pigs: 36.85 %±4.90%;brown pigs: 8.99% ±2.39%, white and black pigs: 17.73% ±3.32% ;brown and white pigs: 5.46% ± 1.96%, black and brown pigs: 10.45% ±2.77% and black pigs: 20.52% ±3.69%.Finally we have suggested four considerations as the reference for the experts and workers of livestock husbandry, in order to control and reduce the type of black commercial pigs and raise the rest types of coat color of commercial pigs.The heredity of pig coat color is very complicated; at least 7 loci control the coat color, so in order to completely understand the genetic law of pig coat color, the further study should be carried out.
