Microcystis aeruginosa is a kind of toxic cyanobacteria that wide-ranging living in stagnant water. After water is contaminated by some chemical residuals (N, P, et al.), Tong with other kinds of cyanobacteria greatly reproduce that will cause a water bloom phenomenon. If the cell lysis, it will release a sort of biologcal toxic substance called microcystin that will cause toxicities extensively in animal body from mammal to achordate. Moreover it has some toxic effect, so it possess potential of pesticides. In the of artifical cultivate in room, observedand that and temprature has relate to the gowth and reproduce of microcystin. The 24h:0's photoperiod and the 25-30℃'s tempratuer could cause the cell reproduce 1 in large quantity in laboratory and the researching work of microcystin's crude extricated substance extricating. In the experiments, we selected cotton bollworm (.Helicoverpa armigera) as object of the studies. It has reflected that the microcystin has a stronger pestcide activity to the second age larvae of Helicoverpa armigera and to the first hatching (LC50 separately was 16.83± 5.18μg/ml and 25.2±5.12μg/ml) . But it indicates biological effect to the old larvers were refusing eating, extending the time of larver and pupating, shorteningthe time of pupa, affecting emergence, and causeing doomed of pupa and so on..It is proven that Microcystis aeruginosa is not only a toxin alga for ecological environment, and also a potential biological pesticide in this experiment. We can utilize the function of pest killing of Microcystis aeruginosa as a new type of biological pesticide or a kind of raw material of genetic engineering to apply for agricultural pest's comprehensive administration.
