With different doses of r-ray radiation-processing (treatment I :15000rad,treatment II :25000rad,treatmentIII:35000rad) four cool-season grass dry seeds of Lolium maloiforam (variety:Champion) Lolioum perenne(variety:Accent) Poa pratensis(variety:Glade) festuca arundmacea(variety:Amigo)were treated . The germination energy, the germination rate,the live rate, the length of root, the length of bud and the number of whiskers of each cool-season grass-seeds,except the length of root and the number of whiskers (possess 7%), decreased comparing with non-radioactive treatment (possess 93%) . The trendency of decreasing ratio of various numbers with check , is treatment III > treatment I > treatment II. Regarding to grass' s variety, trendency of decreasing ratio was festuca arundinacea> Lolioum perenne> Poa pratensis > Lolium maloiforam .The analysis of variance showed that Lolioum perenne, had very significant difference among the different treatments ; Lolium maloiforam and festuca arundinacea also had very significant difference except few index; for Poa pratensis, only the number of whiskers had significant difference.The height of the plant's stub of the two kinds of ryegrass increased in index , the leafs age increased in line, the tiller increased in logistic mode. For festuca arundinacea, the leaf's age and also increased in line; the plants 's hight of CK also increased in index ,which of treatment, plant's height increased slowly in index in late growth stage filler's number of CK increased in line mode,which of treatment increased quickly in index in late growth stage. The equation was established and analyzed.For all of the radiation treatment to cool-season grass plants the leafs colour and stem's colour were not influenced obviously, the progress of young panicle initiation was not expedited, only treatment III was delayed slightly.
