In order to provide scientific support to the quarantine supervision system in relation to the procedures in the production, processing and storage of animal and its product for entry or exits tipulated in Law of the Peoples Republic of China on the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine; risk analysis on the animal quarantine and the quarantine policy on the entry-exit hide, skin and wool, bristle or feather set by State Administration Bureau.Further, based on the current stipulations on the animal products quarantine set by State Administration Bureau, with bacillus subtilis as a test strain, its last situation of surviving was tested under different pH value in laboratory; the influence of killing situation on it by the changes of pH value and temperature during processes of entry and exit animal products, such as original wool, bristle, feather, hide or skin etc. Test into pH value of soaking sheep skin of border and situation of its surviving under this pH value condition. It was found that(l) Bacillus subtilis is sensitive to acidity (it can be totally killed in pH 2.6 within 10 minutes) and insensitive to alkalescence (it can not be totally killed in pH 14 less than ten days). (2) No bacteria were found in soaking sheep skin of border. (3) The test strain can be totally killed in washing processes of poultry feather and pig bristle, but not in washing of wool. (4) While Bacillus subtilis was entered with hide or skin of cattle to process, its killed situation is not the same, due to the different (consider chemical material, pH value and temperature mainly),such as it can not be totally killed during process steps of alkalescence, but it can totally killed in less than pH2.1 during process steps of acidity.It is need and importance that the pitch enterprises have epidemic prevention work during processes of entry and exit animal products and in order to achieve purpose of health, safety and sanitation, we can change pH of process steps of entry and exit animal products.
