To promote the development and application of LVL, Poplar, Finns massoniana Lamb, Eucalyptus, Pinus yunnanensis Franch and Larix olgensis Henry are used in this paper to produce LVL. Five wood species' density and LVL's density, MOR, MOE, Shearing strength, dimensional stability are studied comprehensively. And the correlation between wood species density and LVL's mechanical properties, the correlation between LVL's density and its mechanical properties is analyzed respectively.The results show that: (1) The high correlation between wood species density and LVL's density, MOR, MOE , the high correlation between LVL's density and its MOR and MOE is pretty obvious. Based on their high correlation, the concrete regreesion equation between them is obtained respectively; (2) The LVL's dimensional stability is influenced remarkably by its texture direction. Elastic swelling, elastic-plastic swelling and plastic swelling of LVL occur synchronously and influence each other; (3) The correlation between LVL's shearing strength and density of wood species and LVL is not prominent.
