With the objective to shape bamboo wood, the research on the shaping mechanism of maobamboo and the mechanical properties of the bamboo wood shaping, analyzes the ways to express thecapability of anti-external loading pressure in the shaping of bamboo wood, derives and provides theformulas of the bamboo ring stiffness and bending moment and makes analysis on the effects of thepretreatment measures for different bamboo shaping on the mechanical properties of the bambooshaping. The study also measures the static mechanical values: bamboo ring stiffness, anti-bendingstrength, elasticity modulus of anti-bending, extension strength, elastic tensile modulus, draws thecurve for the ring stiffness, anti-bending strength, elasticity modulus of anti-bending, extensionstrength, elastic tensile modulus at different temperatures and holding times. On this basis, itsummarizes the characteristics of the change for each index on the bamboo ring stiffness, anti-bendingstrength, elasticity modulus of anti-bending, extension strength, elastic tensile modulus at differentages, temperatures and holding times. Finally, the study outlines the ideas, technical solutions andmajor component structures on the design of bamboo shaping prototype, with the results figured outby the bamboo shaping mechanics.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Through the comparison of the failure modes of rigid pipe with bamboo wood, it concludedthat the ring stiffness index can be used to present anti-external pressure loading capacity for bamboowood. Through analysis, it has simplified the computation formula of four-membered ring rigidityinto that of dual ring rigidity, while the specific value of proportionality coefficient Ki is given underspecified conditions.(2)Based on the relevant theories of mechanics of materials, it has derived and given theformula of bamboo bending moment.(3)Through the experimental study on the ring stiffness, I has given the changing curve for the26groups of bamboo ring stiffness at different age groups and different holding times. After analysis,the following conclusions have been worked out: The best holding temperature is100℃, the optimalholding time is120min.(4)Through the experimental research on the bending strength, it gives the variation curve ofbending strength and modulus of elasticity to change with temperature for3kinds of mao bamboo ofdifferent ages at different temperature and holding time. And the following conclusions have beenworked out: The optimal age for Bamboo is5to6years, the holding temperature is100℃and thebest holding time is over100min.(5)Through the experimental study on the tensile strength parallel to grain, it gives the curve ofthe extension strength and extension modulus of elasticity to vary with the holding time andtemperature for mao bamboo of3to6years at different temperatures and holding times of two stages. And the following conclusions have been worked out: Under50℃and100℃, the extension strengthof the sample is basically stable and never change greatly. When the insulation lasts100min, theextension feature of the bamboo of6to6years is even more stable. Under50℃and100℃, theextension modulus of elasticity of the sample keeps stabilized on the whole with the holding timechanges. After over-all comparison, under100℃, the elastic modulus of bamboo decreases slightly.(6)Use the conclusions worked out with the mechanical properties of bamboo shaping to guidethe design of the bamboo shaping prototype and has given the ideas, technical solutions and the mainstructure of the design.It can be verified through the research above: To study the mechanical properties of bambooshaping and the conventional mechanical tests can work out some important new results, which havegreat significance to the in-depth understanding on the mechanical properties of bamboo and guidingon the processing technic of bamboo shaping.
