With the coming of information age, we begin to realize that the modernization of agriculture needs the support of information technology. The mature technology of expert system and the rapid development of network technology make the expert system play an important role in agriculture.Turfgrass disease diagnosis and protection has become one key technology of the turfgrass conserve and manage technologys, with the developing of the turfgrass industry. Because of the relative later turfgrass disease research in China, lots available information could not be very popularized, and few professionals concentrate on turfgrass disease diagnosis and protection. In this case, the expert systems could be used to solve these problems. But development and research of the turfgrass disease diagnosis expert system based on Internet is still under way in China.This research used Windows XP as exploitation plate, and Dreamwaver MX as the main tool. The ITDDES (the Turfgrass Disease Diagnosis Expert System based on Internet) was built by using available turfgrass disease data and information, and following the rule of disease diagnosis and pathogen identifying. Firstly, the data of turfgrass disease was classed and normalized to build a turfgrass disease database. Secondly, a pathogen database was constructed from systemic transformed pathogen data. Finally, 6 main application modules were programmed, which including disease diagnosis, disease query, disease browse, pathogen identifying, pathogen query and pathogen browse, respectively. The ITDDES also consisted of other assistant modules, such as system help, system manage and so on. The system could provide real-time decision and support,and online query for users. The users could use ITDDES to acquire turfgrass disease knowleges and manage database online.In this paper, the construction process of ITDDES and the core technology were mainly analysed after a brief introduction to the expert system, the network technology and the ASP technology. And a guide for ITDDES was provided. The construction method of expert system, and visit for dynamic database with ASP and ADO technologywere indicated too. These technologys made expert system can be available through Internet, and can be used in a wide area. Therefore, the turfgrass disease data could be highly shared through Internet, and ITDDES could provide reference for users.
