Through the methods of field expeiment, chemical analysis and biological statistics, the effects of different forms of nitrogen fertilizer(urea, ammonium nitrate and ammonium biocarbonate) and their applying time on the content and distribution of nitrate and total nitrogen in different organs and yield and quality of spring wheat were systematically studied with Yong Liang NO.4. The results were as followings:(1)Applying different forms of nitrogen fertilizer increased the yield, and increased the amount of accumulation and absorption of nitrate and total nitrogen in total stool, especially in the stems pronouncedly. The content of crude proteins, essential amino acid, total amino acid, lysine and Fe,Ca were increased distinctly, but the quality of the protein in the seed was decreased. There were not significant difference among different nitrogen about yield, volume weight of seed, the content of crude protein, amino acid and nitrate, total nitrogen. Applying ammonium nitrate did not increase the content of nitrate. (2) The amount of nitrate was very large in the beginning of the growth period, but decreased sharply in the late and it was so little in the maturation period that was far less than the criterion of the green food. (3) Applying nitrogen early increased the yield significantly. But applying nitrogen late was better when the volume weight of seed ,the content of crude protein, total nitrogen, proline, serine and Fe,Mn,Ca,P were concerned.
