The investigation and elementary studies on wild vitis resource had been performed from March 2003 to October 2004 in eleven county ,Yongzhou. The major conclusion are follows:1. The wild vitis in Yongzhou belongs to Vitaceae, 2 genuses. 6 species. The 2 genuses are Vitis and Ampelopsis Michx. V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang. V.adenodada Hand-Mazz, V.adstricta Hance and Vpiqsezkii Maxim are classified to vitis, Sinica(Miq.)WT Wang and A.anitifolia Bunge var glabra Dils belong to Ampelopsis.2. The content of solubility solid form substance in V.adstricta Hance e is 13 %. which is the highest among vitis.The fruits size of V.adenodada Hand-Mazz is the biggest. Two average vertical is 0.993 cm, wideth is 0.942cm and the weigh of each fruit is 0.511g.The content of Vc is the highest in V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang.reaching 53.06mg /100g.3. The hardwood branch cuttage of wild vitis should immedicatly be used after it be cutted off. The surviving ratio among Vitis has significant difference. V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang > V.adstricta Hance > Vpiqsezkii Maxim > V.adenodada Hand-Mazz. The surviving ratio of Dongan No.3 hardwood branch is higner than that of others. The effection of NAA on cuttage surviving ratio has no significant differene in V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang.4. The surviving ratio of engrafting Fujiminori on wild vitis is from 33.33% to 70 .00%. The arrangement from high to low is V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang > V.adstricta Hance > V.adenodada Hand-Mazz > Ampelopsis Sinica(Miq.)WT Wang, and the surviving ratio of V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang and V.adstricta Hance is much high than that of V.adenodada Hand-Mazz and Ampelopsis Sinica(Miq.)WT Wang.5. V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang, V.adstricta Hance, V.adenodada Hand-Mazz and Vpiqsezkii Maxim resistance to Collletotrichum gloeosporioide. V.adenodada Hand-Mazz and Vpiqsezkii Maxim have the strongest resistant ability among .and V.adstricta Hance, V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang are the stronger. The leaves of the 4 wild species vitis appear stronger resistance to Elsinoe ampelina. Vpiqsezkii Maxim has higher resistance, and the others perform disease resistance. They have different resistant ability to Plasmopara viticola, in which V.adenodada Hand-Mazz resistance to P. viticola,and V.Pseudoreticulata W.T.Wang, V.adstricta Hance and Vpiqsezkii Maxim infected by P. viticola.
