| With a view of solving the problems of low water usage, severe water and soil losses and high fanning production cost happening in the process of local agricultural production, finding out several good suitable comprehensive conservation tillage technology models which is expected to offer a theoretical foundation to the extension of conservation tillage in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, this comparison study was carried out among some different conservation tillage models, and between the conservation tillage model and local traditional ones respectively during the March 2003 to the August of 2004 from the aspect of production increase, water-saving, cost reduction and efficiency promotion in the three selected areas of Yellow river irrigated area, mid-arid zone and southern mountainous areas in Ningxia. Some findings and results have been represented as below:1. Compare to the traditional tillage, the fulfilled trials have stated good effect on reduction of mechanic operation input (RMB 3/667m2~ RMB 61/667m2), promotion of water content in soil and field water usage ( 36.2%~56.9%), increase of crop yield (4.11%~43.3%), and promotion of income (RMB 53.16 /667m2~RMB 92.40/667m2), except one trial taking the method of none tillage seeding in Yuanzhou district of Guyuan county.2. From the aspect of water-saving, yield promotion and income increase, the suitable conservation tillage models for Ningxia individual zones would be:(1) In Yellow river-irrigated area, a model of harvesting with high former crop straw + subsoil + seedbed tripe rotation seeding has been suggested for spring wheat conservation tillage.(2) In mid-arid zone, it is not suitable to extend none tillage seeding and the rotation seeding for crop in no-irrigated area.(3) For the winter wheat in south mountainous area, the suitable model is thought as Harvesting with high former crop straw + subsoil + fall seedbed tripe rotating seeding.3. In order to speed up the extension of conservation tillage, propagation, skill training and service socialization shall be focused on during the extension progress of conservation tillage technology inNingxia. |
