The trial was made to study the minerals of soil- pasture -sheep of different season in Siziwangqi of Inner Mongolia by the methods of the spot investigation, sampling practically and lab analysis on the basis of the systematically detective technique of mineral nutrition, the daily feed intake of the sheep and the percent of pasture were measured by saturated-alkane,the limiting mineral nutrition factors were studied systematically. Finally, the result was confirmed by supplemental effect trial. The results showed as follows: the daily feed intake of the sheep measured by saturated-alkane in summer, autumn and winter were: 1.52 ± 0.04kg/d,1.60 ± 0.05kg/d,1.13 ±0.10kg/d for the absolute intake, 4.35%, 3.86% and 2.65% for the relative intake respectively. The absolute intake was the highest in autumn, but the relative intake decreased with the season processing. The contents of minerals in soil, grass and animal varied in different season, from the general level, the soil is lack of S, Cu, Mn, Zn, Se critically and other minerals is normal. The pasture is lack of P, Na, K, Se, lack of S, Cu, Zn critically, and rich in Fe. The result showed that Siziwangqi of Inner Mongolia is under the entironment of low P, Na, K, Se, high Fe, sub-clinic S, Cu, Zn by the comprehensive analysis of the contents of minerals in the hair, serum, visceral organ of the grazing sheep and the intake, digestibility of minerals. In supplemental trial, the weight of the sheep which were supplemented minerals and concentrate increased significantly﹙P﹤0.01﹚, however that of the treat group which was supplemented only minerals was not significant, it shows that mineral is only a part of the limiting mineral nutrition factors for the grazing sheep in this region, it is still lack of energy and protein widely.
