| It is an important step for technology of alfalfa silage to improve the rate of usage of as well as promote alfalfa industry and cow industry. It was carried out to study the technology of modulating alfalfa silage in the local condition. The following experiments were done in experiment.1) The alfalfa breeds of xinmu No.1, xinjiang big-leaf and algonguin were planted widely in local place and were selected as material of experiment. The most suitable alfalfa that is easy to be modulated silage would be chosen out by comparing their yield, quality and disease resistance. 2) Fresh-grass straight fermenting, fresh-grass+previous fermented juice (PFJ), half-hay straight ferment, half-hay+PFJ with the first year's three cuttings of xinmu No.1 and algonguin as experimental material were adopted. Based on the first year's silage effect, half-hay+BM (beet molasses)+PFJ was used with second year's xinmu No.1. It was compared and analyzed to the silage results and nutrient variety of xinmu No.1 in different stubbles and under different treating condition. 3) Three little-type silage tests were done by following ways such as half-hay fermenting, half-hay+PFJ and half-hay+BM+PFJ with xinmu No.1 and each treated 600 kg. The palatability experiment was based on the little type silage. It was compared and analyzed to nutrition and silaging effect of different treatment of xinmu No.1 as well as palatability. The result of experiment on comparing breed shows that xinmu No.1 is the most suitable breed to produce alfalfa silage under local situation. The results of silage test show that in each cutting of all treatments, the silaging result of half-hay+BM+PFJ is best, the next is half-hay ferment, result of fresh grass straight fermenting is worst. In each cutting the content of CP between half-hay+BM+PFJ and the raw material grass has tiny difference (respective discrepancy from others 0.18%, 0.60% and 0.94%). The result shows that half-hay+BM+PFJ silage method can keep nourishment value of alfalfa better. It can ameliorate the fermenting quality of silage availably and improve silage feed quality. Algonguin has similar silaging effect to xinmu No.1 under the same treating condition. In each cutting the content of CP and NDF between silage of half-hay+PFJ and the raw material grass have little difference, NH3-N and pH of silage is lowest. The result of palatability shows that the silage effect of half-hay+BM+PFJ and half-hay+PFJ is superior to half-hay ferment. The free-choice of half-hay+BM+PFJ is better than the two others. Synthesizing character of breed and yield as well as silaging results, xinmu No.1 is superior to algonguin and is a better alfalfa breed of producing silage. Synthesizing feed intake and free-choice of xinmu No.1 silage, the palatability of half-hay+PFJ is superior to half-hay ferment and half-hay+BM+PFJ. As a result, half-hay+PFJ is suitable way of modulating alfalfa silage in practice at locality. |
