The effect of diet supplemented different levels of Ge-132 on production performance, breeding egg quality, lipin metabolism and anti-oxidized function as well as germanium concentration character were investigated in Shaoxing ducks in the present paper, and the preliminary discussion to their mechanism was indicated. These data provide the academic and practical basis for the application of Ge-132 in egg duck production.Shaoxing ducks (170-day old) were randomly divided into 5 groups, with 3 replications per group and 22 ducks per replication. â…  group is control group fed with the corn - bean - fish meal basic diets; â…¡, â…¢, â…£, and â…¤ group fed with basic diets adding 100, 200, 400, 600mg/kg Ge-132 respectively. Pretesting time 1 week and experimental time 4 weeks. The main results were showed as follows:(1)Diet supplemented Ge-132 obviously enhanced the germanium content in the blood and eggs, and the germanium content elevated along with the increase of diet Ge-132 level. Under this test condition, compared to control group, the blood germanium content in 0.38 - 1.63mg/L and the egg germanium content in 9.217 - 31.060mg/kg (P<0.01), and it had significant difference in all group (P<0.01 or P<0.05).(2)Diet supplemented Ge-132 mildly improved egg production, feed consumption and feed efficiency (F/E), but it had no significant difference (P>0.05). The average egg weight and egg gross weight had different drop in all experiments supplemented with Ge-132, compared to control group, â…¡, â…¢, â…£, â…¤ group's average egg weight were decreased by 0.12%, 1.11%, 1.92%, 3.95%, respectively. â… ,â…¡, â…¢, â…£ group with â…¤ group's difference remarkable (P<0.05); â…¡, â…¢, â…£, â…¤ group's total egg weight were decreased by 0%(P>0.05), 0.61%(P>0.05), 1.83%(P>0.05), 3.66%(P<0.05) respectively.(3)The egg-shaped index increased by feeding Ge-132, compared to â…  group, â…¡, â…¢, â…£, â…¤ group were increased by 0.76% (P>0.05), 1.52%(P>0.05), 3.03%(P<0.01), 2.27%(P>0.05), respectively. Ge-132 had no significant effects on the eggshell thickness, the eggshell intensity, and the egg-yolk color (P>0.05). Hulf unit of â…¤ group were decreased by 2.84%(P<0.05). There were no significant differences among other groups (P>0.05).(4)Adding Ge-132 in the diet of parents generation of Shaoxing duck remarkably increased the fertility and hatchability of breeding egg. Compared to the â…  group, the fertility of â…¡, â…¢, â…£, â…¤ group were increased by 7.34%(P<0.01), 10%(P<0.01), 7.67%(P<0.01), 3.34%(P<0.05), respectively. The fertility (97.33%) was the highest ones when 200mg/kg Ge-132 was added to the diet. The total hatchability and fertilization (90.98%, 86.43%, respectively) were the highest ones at the dose of 400mg/kg (P<0.01).(5)The egg duck's lipin metabolism was remarkably improved by feeding Ge-132.
