| In this paper, by adopting several parameters most in use and methods of systematic sort-average-clustering, author investigated the arthropod community (including spider)in harmless control section , Cinnamonum camphora and Populus sp. control sections during Sep.2003 to Dec .2004 in shanghai City. The results show as following:The arthropod community on Populus sp. in shanghai city includes 11 orders(insect: 9 orders, spider:2orders)and 87 species, and 57 species insects and 30 species spider among them , In the whole arthropod community , the 50 species have been defined to the main pests, which hold 57.47% of it.The arthropod community on Cinnamonum camphora in shanghai city includes 12 orders(insect: 10 orders, spider:2orders)and 85 species. The insect community has 55 species and the spider includes 30 species.In the whole arthropod community, 39 species have been defined to the main pest, which hold 45.88% of it.The total quantities of arthropods in the four exprimentation sections indicate:pure Cinnamonum camphora>mix Cinnamonum camphora, mix Populus> pure Populus,and the species, diversity and evenness are diffirent.The results of arthropod community development indicate: the differences of quantity and richness of arthropod, natural enemy and whole insect community among experiment sections are distinct. The dynamic uptrend of diversity and evenness indexes between mix forest and pure forest are analogical, and on the contrary it is different. The differences of communities characters in four sections indifferent months are distinct.The main tree pests which have distinct tendency to light are: Thalassodes quadraia Guemee, Cacoecia asiatica Walsinghum, Ascotid selenaria Denis&schaffmiiller.According to the different management measures and planting mode, the arthropos community has different characteristics.
