Peashrub( Caragana korshinskii,Kom.)is a perennial, xerophilous, psammophilous , defoliate leguminous bush .It has various types, with considerable natural distribution and manual planting area in China. Known. as the windproof and sand binding pioneer plant that can effectively prevents water and soil losses, peashrub(Caragana korshinskii Kom.) also proves to be excellent feeding bush. This study to look for new ways for the combination of environment protection and animal husbandry development has two parts as follows: Part 1 Study of the nutrients and digestibility Through an analysis of its nutrient component and the testing of the digestible energy, this study aims at evaluating the nutritive value of peashrub leaf powder in the respect of pig feeding and therefore providing scientific basis for further researches and the proper use as pigs' daily diet. Results: dry matter 91.2% ,total energy17.72MJ/kg crude protein17.32%, crude fiber33.55% calcium2.1%, phosphorus0.35%, digestion energy9.25% ,digestibility of dry matter50.03%,digestibility of total energy 52.19%, digestibility of crude protein55.21%, digestibility of crude fiber40%. Part 2 Study of the feeding value to pigs The feeding value of peashrub leaf'powder for growing-finishing pigs is studied by single factor contrasted experiment. 18 pigs of tri-breed hybridization pigs( DUCHANGDA) at about 40Kg body weight were randomly divided into 3 groups.Under the condition of equal level of main dietary nutrition. A study was conducted to investigate the effects of Peashrub leaf-powder diet at different levels(0%,5%,10%) instead of the equal wheat bran. The results showed that there was no bad effects on the weight gain of growing-finishing pigs using 5%-10% paeshrub leaf _ powder replacing wheat bran and in the 5% paeshrub leaf-powder group, weight gain apparent value increased 12.8%, but the difference was not significant( p> 0.05).
