The Tectona grandis is in the world one of famous precious timber wood tree..It has been introduced in the south of Fujian in the earl time and grew well.and has been planted in the big mountainous region still was the first time in recent years.,But due to freeze injury, restriction factor and so on drought, the overall effect was unsatisfactory. After widely investigates and experimental study it shows that there are barrier factor including the freeze injury , drought and the higher soil acidity in the south of Fujian,and must adopt the highly intensive farming and so on a series of essential technologies. If these technologies have not obtained the very good solution, it will affect the afforestation result inevitably, even will suffer the defeat. Investigation and test result induction as follows: 1, Investigation resultThe Tectona grandis has been introducted grows well in early time in the south of Fujian. There is one 58-year-old teck 51.2 cm in the diameter and 18 m in height in Chen Jiageng residence of Xiamen There is the highest that grows in the Xiangxi forest farm of TongAn town for 40 years, the height of Tectona grandis is up to 22 m. But the Tectona grandis grows badly in the larger typhoon area. Attacked by the typhoon in the garden in the overseas Chinese of the city of Xiamen , The 44-year-old Tectona grandis is 13m in height.It is failed that Tectona grandis planted by a large scale in mountain region recently with the extremely low temperture,because, and it were been cared very carefully. The keeping rate was less than 20% and the Tectona grandis kept t grows extremely badlyBut introduced a fine variety recently in Four side in the south of Fujian , the Tectona grandis grews fast and fine.The Tectona grandis base of Jing Gong mountain afforested in 2001. grows well, and the average are 3.15 cm in the diameter and 3.5m in the height. But it is not all Tectona grandis grows well,there are several place that Tectona grandis grows very badly, The change index of diameter and height are 0.945 and 0.724 . The average diameter and height of Tectona grandis that has been afforested for 4 years in the Tectona grandis base of Tingxia forest farm.is up to 5.5cm and 4.75m ., the growing amount annually of was 1.4 cm in diameter and was 1.2 m in height.Xiamen California Corporation afforested in 2001 more than 40 hectares teak forest in Changtai Jin Gongshan moutain, in the winter 2004, the unusual low temperature causes the teak to suffer the freeze injury generally.So The unusual low temperature is the main barrier factor in the mountainous region of the south of Fujian to develope teak in big area.In summary, there are more than 50 years history in planting Tectona grandis its prove that it is suitable to plant teak. In the recent eight years, the Xiamen entrepreneur joint management in Nanjing, Longhai, Changtai building teak timber forest more than 120 hectares,in the mountainous region, because of suffering continuously unusual low temperature freeze injury in 1998 and 2004, and not promptly to renew, it has been abandoned more than 20 hectares.The main restriction factor is:The freeze injury, arid forces, acid soil in the south of Fujian to afforest Tectona grandis in mountainous region So in order to abatain success it is essential choose the planting area,and adopts the high strength intensive farming. 2 Test resultThe growth analysis to the different vertical indicated that:teak in the first level of vertical grow well, II level vertical is next, III level vertical is worst. The diameters of teak in the I level of vertical is 1.56 times of II level and 1.89 times of III level. And the height of teak in the I level of vertical is 1.36 times of II level and 1.68 times of III level.The growth analysis to the different slope position indicated that, The teak of uphill grows badly, that of the middle slope grows well, and that of the downhill grows bestly. The diameter at chest height of downhill is 1.26 times of the uphill and 1.1 times of the center slope. The variance analysis shows: the difference of teak of uphill and the downhill is remarkable, but the difference of teak of between the downhill uphill and center the slope is not remarkable, and so is the difference of teak of uphill and center the slope.This is because the time of teak has been planted not long , the slope position effect did not have fully to demonstrate.EM fertilizer had greater influence to Tectona grandis. If using the density to be 15 % of EM watering, The result was the best. Average diameter and height had to be 1.34 times and 1.32 times of growing mount of contrast. It is the second to use the density to be 10% of EM watering, Average diameter and height had to be 1.22 times and 1.21 times of contrastUsing analysis of variance: The density watered and compared with contrast had extremely apparent differences for EM of 10% and 15%. Other treatment was not difference of showing to compare to contrast.
