The objective of this study was Coelomactra antiquata. Isozymes in different tissues of Coelomactra antiquata in Fujian and Jiangsu were studied by vertical polyacrylamide gradient gel electrophoresis technique, and changes of isozymes during the ontogenetic periods of Coelomactra antiquata in Fujian were also analyzed. In this sense, genotypic milieu of isozymes were studied. Besides, difference of distribution and activities of digestive enzymes and SOD in different digestive organs of Coelomactra antiquata were compared by enzymology analysis method. We hope that the results could offer reasons for studies of biology of development, genetics and physiology of nutrition in the ontogenetic periods of Coelomactra antiquata and for breeding parents with highquality, regulation of procreation and prevention of damage by disease in "863"project: 《Cosmically cultivation of Coelomactra antiquata》 .The results showed as below: Distribution and activities of different isozymes in different tissues were differential and relative to their functions. The isozyme zymograms of the two populations were either coherent or different, but the difference was not remarkable. The turning periods that isozyme genes of young Coelomactra antiquata were activated were late in veliger-stage and early in umbo-stage. Crystalline style was main organ in digesting amylums and proteins, and intestines and stomach were main organ in digesting fibrin and fat. Activities of SOD in stomach, intestines and crystalline style in Coelomactra antiquata in Fujian were much stronger than which in Coelomactra antiquata in Jiangsu, which showed that temporary cultivation of Coelomactra antiquata parents in Fujian was easier than that of Coelomactra antiquata parents in Jiangsu, so we should choose Coelomactra antiquata parents in Fujian for cosmically artificial cultivation.
