The mitogenome Coelomactra antiquate is determined in this study. C.antiquate belongs to phylum Mollusca, class Bivalvia, subclass Heterodonta, orderVeneroida, family Mactridae. The whole length of mitogenome C. antiquate is17190bp with AT content64.7%. The mitogenome C. antiquate missing tRNASer(AGN),tRNASer(UCN)and atp8gene contains12protein-coding region,2rRNA and20tRNA.All genes are coding on the same strand. In the major non-coding region ofmitogenome C. antiquate, there is a tandem repeat sequence which is99bp with8.9copies. In addition, the arrangement of mitogenome C. antiquate is a new orderdifferent from other gene orders published.Meretrix lyrata belongs to phylum Mollusca, class Bivalvia, subclassHeterodonta, order Veneroida, family Veneroidae, genus Meretrix. Incompletemitogenome of M. lyrata with7505bp in length was determined. This incompletesequence contains partial cox3and cytb genes,5tRNA genes: tRNAAla, tRNALeu(CUN),tRNAIle, tRNALeu(Asp), tRNAProand ten non-coding genes. The start and stop codon of5protein-coding genes of mitogenome M. lyrata are not all the same when comparedwith other4species belonging to genus Meretrix. Based on the genes cox1, cox2,nad1, nad2, nad4L, the NJ phylogenetic tree was built. The result indicates that thegenus Meretrix is monophyly and M. meretrix and M. petechialis have very closerelationship. However, it needs further study combined with morphological data inorder to determine if M. meretrix and M. petechialis are the same species.
