The photosynthetic characteristic, physiology and biochemical characteristic, and nutrient absorption characteristic of grafted tomatoes with four rootstocks, NianMaoQie, ChiQie, TuoLuBaMu, and BeiNongQieZhen, under solar greenhouse were studied. The results were as followed: Under protected production, the rootstocks, whose root activities were high, the grafting survival percentage,at the same time the resistance to some disease were elevated, all the above resulted in the high yield . The photosynthesis and membrane-peroxidase enzyme of the grafted tomatoes, which the root activities were height during bearing fruit, were strong with high yield. When use NianMaoQie as rootstocks, the POD andCAT activity were higher than rootself tomatoes, grafted tomatoes, which root activities was height during seedlings, had whole membrane-peroxidase enzyme. On the contrary,membrane-peroxidase enzymes were lost. With the growing of grafted tomatoes, their membrane-peroxidase enzymes got gradually weak. Grafted tomatoes absorbed mainly Fe, Mg, Cu, and Zn, while absorbing capability of K, Ca and Mg capability was small during seedlings. With the development of grafted tomatoes, absorbing capability of K, Ca, and Mg was increasing. Therefore, in order to promote the production of grafted tomatoes, more fertilizer should be provided during bearing fruit. Grafted tomatoes, compared with rootself tomatoes, had no significant difference in the appearance and color of fruit. Fruit Vc content of grafted tomatoes with rootstock Chi Qie was higher, while the flavor of grafted tomatoes with rootstock NianMaoQie was better. The rootstock NianMaoQie could be regarded as best rootstock due to early harvest, height production, and disease resistance.
