Quality breeding has been the major project of wheat breeding,because of the development of society and the advance of standard living and consumption.Cytoplasm variation exists among wheat silding species,which is the precious genetic wealth of wheat breeding,,the genetic effect of cytoplasm has been recognized increasingly.Progress has been taken on improving the some characters and got some society and economic benefit.In order to investigate the effect of the cytoplasm on wheat quality,6 isonucleus-alloplasmic material and 9 common wheat varieties were used to make different nucleus-cytoplasm combinations, and analyzed their F1 seed protein quality (protein content,component and sedimentation value).The mechanism of the cytoplasm on wheat quality was preliminary discussed through study the effect of cytoplasm on photosynthesis rate, the seed protein subunit composition and the (high-molecular-weight) protein subunit content and the agriculture characters. Showed:1.In the direct cross (the 6 isonucleus-alloplasmic material as female plant ),78% combinations seed protein content higher than their CK(common cytoplasm combinations) ,among the 6 different cytoplasm,the effect of Ae.umaristata and Ae.biornis's cytoplasm is better than others,they can increase the protein content significantly,average higher 2 percent,the highest 3.7 percent.There are better "general and special combination ability"between Ae.umaristata and Ae.biornis'cytoplasm with 9 common varieties,this 2 types cytoplasm have higher utilization potential to improve the wheat quality in the future. 2.About the protein components,the effect of Ae.umaristata and Ae.biornis'cytoplasm on albumin and globular protein content more seriously than gliadin and glutenin,however the value is different on the different nucleus-cytoplasmic combinations background. 3.There is broadly positive effect on sedimentation value among 6 different cytoplas -ms,the direct cross combinations, sedimentation value higher than the reverse cross(ck),except the combinations of common wheat variety lu955159 with Ae.cylindrica and Ae.uniaristata cytoplasm. But the effect value was different because of the different combination. 4.There was a significant effect of nucleus-cytoplasmic interaction on seed protein content ,components and sedimentation value of The 6 different cytoplasm.Use cytoplasm to improve wheat quality is an available way,but we should choose the best nucleus-cytop -lasm combination to get the best result. Study the mechanism of cytoplasm on wheat quality the result showed:1.The maximal photosynthesis rate of the flag leaf was different among the 6 Aegilops cytoplasm.However, the protein content have not any direct relation with that,there was some relation with the descent rate of the flag leaf photosynthesis. 2.There was effect on protein subunit composition and the (high-molecular-weight) protein subunit content of the 6 different cytoplasms. 3.The agriculture characters was significant affected by the cytoplasm,the values were different among the different nucleus-cytoplasmic combinations.Some cytoplasm could prolong the growth duration and the flag photosynthesis time,which maybe was a cause of cytoplasm effect the wheat quality.
