The six cattle populations including Simmental hybridization, Hereford, Angus, Simmental, Holstein and Luxi cattle were used in the present study on measuring feed conversion efficiency and meat quality by traditional feeding experiment combining with Molecular genetic Markers technique. The objective is to discuss the difference between breeds. And eight gene locis of insulin-like growth factor were selected to analysis feed conversion efficiency and the meat quality by Molecular genetic Markers in five chromosomes .Studying the inheritance correlation of every site with the feed efficiency, Daily gain, Daily feed intake , Protein conversion ratio, Net energy conversion ratio, And meat quality in the character, Marbling ,Eye muscle area, Meat color, Eye meat, In ridge, Outside ridge.The primary objective of this paper was as follows:1 The feed experiment shows the difference between populations and meat quality ,and the effect that acquired as follows1.1 Six cattle populations were observably effected on all the traits of feeds conversion and meat quality. Among six populations in this paper, Feeds conversion of Simmental is the best ,The second is Hereford and Angus,, and Luxi cattle is the worst; As the meat quality, Among the three populations of cattle slaughtered, Angus did best in Marbling, Eye muscle area, Meat color, Eye meat, is more excellent In ridge, Outside ridge;1.2 Chinese Luxi cattle show as the same level as cattle populations of abroad in feed protein conversion efficiency, which confirm that Luxi cattle can be breed to an excellence beef populations as Angus and Hereford.1.3 When large-scalely put this project into practice, Feed conversion efficiency was selected indirectly by growth speed. The result show that the correlation of Feed conversion efficiency with Daily grain was 0.78611.2 During the Molecular biology experiment, Molecular genetic Markers technique was used to discuss the gene polymorphism and the correlation between the target gene and the gene polymorphism. the result are as follows:2.1 The result of the present study show that: In the total populations, The effect of populations on the traits of feed conversion and meat quality show the level of most significance ( P<0.01).And the effect of environment ( mainly the influence of the animal feed primarily) .On Daily feed intake,Colour of meat and the ridge show the level of most significance. ( P<0.01), And toward Net energy convert show the level of significance.2.2 Least square analysis of different genotype of IGF1 locus and target traits show that, As to Daily gain, The effect value of AA and BB was distinctness less than AB, the difference show the level of significance .( P<0.01).For in-ridge and outside-ridge ,The effect value of AA and BB was distinctness less than AB, the difference show the level of significance . ( P<0.05).
