The study established the tree species standard on the basis of analyzing the natural condition and social economy in Lishui ,south west Zhejiang and aiming at the main site condition of planting the industrial material forestry in southwest Zhejiang. 20 tree species of the local and similar area were integrative analyzed. According to the advise of the experts, yield character, adaptability ,planting character and economic character were studied as the main basis for selecting the fast growing tree species for industrial material forestry, 13 evaluation indexes were determined that were the tree high growth ,breast diameter increment ,tree crown character, cold resistance, drought resistance, disease resistance, site requirement, seedling source, plantation requirement, regenerating ability by sprouts, fiber character, multifunction of the timber, timber price etc. The 5 score system was used to set the grading standard for each index, Analytic Hierarchy Process was also used to determine the weight of each index W={0.1683,0.3168,0.0596,0.1350,0.0166,0.0282,0.0502,0.0116,0.0319,0.0881,0.0115,0.0216,0.0609}According tothe score and weight of each index,20 selected trees (clones )decided by site investigation and information search were integrative evaluated ,The result showed Populus, Melia azedarach,Melia toosendan,Zenia insignis,Eucalyptus dunnii,Toona ciliate var. pubescens,Toona sinensis,Choerospondias axillaries ,Eucalyptus camaldulensis,Alnus cremastogyne etc. had the good representation for integrative evaluation, the clustering analysis showed :the first one included the four clones of Populus,Melia azedarach,Melia toosendan,Zenia insignis,Eucalyptus dunnii,Eucalyptus camaldulensis ,Acacia dealbata and Toona sinensis. The second one included Toona ciliate var. pubescens, Choerospondias axillaries, Alnus cremastogyne, Alnus formosana, Styrax tankinesis and Toona ciliate. Due to the relative poor cold resistance of Eucalyptus dunnii and Eucalyptus camaldulensis ,it was difficulty to realize the plantation in scale, Melia azedarach and Melia toosendan were not suitable for planting large area pure forestry,it was difficulty to realize productive plantation. So the author suggested that Populus , Toona ciliate var. pubescens,Toona sinensis,Choerospondias axillaries and Alnus cremastogyne could be used as the main species for the present fast growing industrial material forestry in Southwest Zhejiang and extended with adjusting measures to local conditions ,Zenia insignis could be tested and developed selecting cold resistance seedling sources.
