Humic Acid (HA) is widely existed in the natural world. It is an organic matter form from the creature (mainly plants) remains by the dual role of microorganism decomposition and a series of geochemistry process, so it's a natural organic substance of complex component. A great deal of research work has been done on the agricultural applied technique of HA at home and abroad. Many researches focus on the technique of production and performance of HA-compounded fertilizer; the stimulation of HA on the growth of plants; the yellow-HA's drought defying function and mechanism. Many researches focus on isolated samples without considerate to the influence of the source, property, molecular structure and molecular weight of HA on its performance. Therefore the results often vary very much from each other. This article choose HA of different source from different area, and study the HA's influence to the growth activity of plants before confirmation of the molecular structure by the means of Purified and analysis by measuring of functional group and purification to HA samples of different sources, this research studied that the HA's influence on the germination period of different plant seeds; on the respiration of plants; chlorophyll content during the seedling stage, trunk height, fresh weight, dry weight during the seedling stage. By the result of this experiment, conclusions can be made that. 1.HA apparently accelerate the growth of plants, which treatment by HA solution of certain concentration, enhances the germination rate, vitality index of seeds, and the seedlings germinate robustly in good trim. 2.HA enhance the germination of seed and the respiration of plants during the seedling stage. HA can restrain the photorespiration of C-3 plants; increase the chlorophyll content during the seedling stage. HA accelerate the growth of plants by influence on certain biochemical reaction. 3.HA's impetus to the growth of plants have no apparent correlations to its active functional group content. The closure of carboxyl have little effect on the stimulation of HA, and the effect may have relation to the less solubility of esterifiable HA's resultant. Phenol hydroxyl group, quinonyl and methoxyl group have little effect on the growth of plants. Consequently, The acceleration of HA to the growth of plants affect by the cooperation of each functional group of the molecule, but not by one or other groups.
