In order to discuss the effects of Eperythrozoon suis(E.suis) on immune level in piglets, 4 eperythrozoonosis piglets and 4 healthy piglets were used in this experiment. Then the RBC C3b receptor rosette ratio, the RBC immune complet rosette ratio, the lymphocyte transformation ratio^ the formation ratio of Ea-rosettes and EAC-lei, the phagocytic ratio and phagocytic index of peripheral blood neutrophil in eperythrozoonosis piglets and healthy ones were determined. The results showed that all the data we determined in eperythrozoonosis piglets were obviously lower than in healthy ones, and there were significant difference (P<0.01). This indicated that E. suis controlled the RBC immune function cellular immune level, humoral immune level and the neutrophil phagocytic function in piglets obviously. In order to authenticate the effects of E. suis on immune level in piglets, we determined the antibody levels against swine fever virus in 100 piglets . The results showed that the integer immunization qualified ratio (49. 2%) in piglets which with infection of E. suis was obviously lower than that (93.5%) in healthy ones, and the immunization qualified ratio (41. 6%) in dominance infected piglets was lower than that (53. 5%) in recessive infected piglets. It was concluded that E. suis could interfere the immune effects of swine fever vaccine seriously, and the interference degree was changed with E. suis infection degree.
