2-month-old hybrid porcine (n=15) were randomly divided into three groups, which were control group, add Se group and add Se and Cu group, every group is 5 respectively. The selenium content in serum, the activities of glutathione-peroxidase (GSH-Px), the rosette formation rate of RBC-C3bR, RBC-IC, serum RCIA promotional and inhibitory were detected. Studied on effect of porcine chronic selenium toxicity on immune function of erythrocyte and offered the oretical foundation for explaining the pathogenesis of this disease. The results showed as follows:1.The Se content in serum of add Se group increased(P < 0.05) from 30d to 40d and significantly increased (P < 0.01)from 50d to 60d, GSH-Px activities of this group significantly increased (P < 0.01) from 10d to 30d; Afterwards, GSH-Px activities significantly decreased(P < 0.01) in 60d. The Se content in serum of add Se Cu group did not change (P > 0.05), GPX-Px activities of this group significantly increased (P < 0.01) from 20d to 30d, and did not change (P > 0.05)from 40d to 60d.2. The RBC-C3bR rosette formation rate of add Se group significantly dropped (P < 0.01)in 30d, While add Se and Cu group did not change (P > 0.05). The RBC-IC rosette formation rate of these two groups did not change (P > 0.05).3. The rosette formation rate of serum RCIA promotional of add Se group significantly dropped (P < 0.01)from 30d to 60d, While the rosette formation rate of serum RCIA inhibitory of this group significantly increased (P < 0.01)from 20d to 60d, The rosette formation rate of serum RCIA promotional of add Se and Cu group significantly decreased(P < 0.01) from 30d to 60d, while the rosette formation rate of serum RCIA inhibitory of this group were not remarkable (P > 0.05).Analysed synthetically that showed: During whole experiment, the immune function of erythrocyte rised first, with the intensification of chronic selenium toxicity increased, the immune function of erythrocyte dropped. With the time past, the excessive selenium had been consume, got rid of or distributed again in the body constantly because of supersession in the body, which reduced the immune function of erythrocyte.
